- It's sad there is no value in using the Sea or Sky God. They cannot use the Spiral Flash nor the Flashing Sword even though it's their combination attack. Only Hikaru can use them. And since you can use combination attacks without actually deploying them.You probably will only deploy the other 2 units if you like them.

I am so...so...happy with their inclusion into this series. So beautiful what they were able to do, and I felt like they really did the series justice. Even if it was tough I still used all three of them when I can until the late game.

I didn't expect a CLAMP anime is included in Super Robot Wars game. Magic Knight Rayearth is one of my favorite animes. Hearing the Yuzurenai Negai music makes me feel nostalgic.

by the way, I played the SRW trilogy. I can't quite get use to SRW 30. the only thing I like in 30 is hold the O button (duelshock) to speed up the battle and transparent the dialog.
I'm currently playing SRW 30 and somehow I think they redub the voice or something. feels kinda odd.

To be fair though, if you don't deploy Selece and Windam, the Flashing Sword won't be as strong. With all three of them in the map, i believe Flashing Sword is the attack with the highest base amount of damage (rivaling Shuffle Alliance Fist I think)
Fuu is a massive SP tank too with good support spirits.
is there a reason as to not deploy all three?

and Hikaru is the only OP character among the three... the other 2 (Fuu and Umi) are mostly supporter. (pretty good support tbh)
Was disappointed that the final unit in Rayearth was only a combination attack.
It will only have 2 attacks anyway, so it will be a waste to make stats, a new sprite and all the needed animation for it. It was the same case with the Ultimate Gravion.
Don't be so unreasonably hopes.

No,the other 2 are also playable.
Both Umi, Fuu, Lantis and Eagle are all playable.
Because of the scene that actually unlocks the ability to use Spiral Flash, I ended up changing the attack's theme to the generic sad theme.
Witch is the main reason to put as finishing line 'Begone into the sadness'
IMO, should've appear alongside Ryuujinmaru (as both are "heroes" summoned to another world)...

Hikaru and Izumi aren't playable in this (or V), they're simply folded in to Ryoko's Final Attack.

Oh hi series budget what about the other units? They don't matter? Oh the sky god has magic commands for shigles. You can cripple the command ship to put out a terrible unit. It's everything no one wanted with king j-dar but worse. I'll just go cry in the good intentions corner. We have blade, golion, and iczer chilling back here.
Wuh? The other two units are real good. The ZengarZanvolt's a complete idiot if he thinks there's no point in launching the other two units. I mean, not even talking about that the teamups are a lot weaker if they don't launch, but they're actually pretty good units and Fuu';s magic commands make her a great support unit.. I dunno why you're whining that you have an option of how to handle the capship. It's the same as Code Geass's capship in SRWZ2.
Also I don't get what you're whining about with Blade, Golion, ands Iczer. They had real good showings in SRW.
@@Neremworld You have only a limited amount of slots, and there are way more better units you could field. Combination attacks maybe weaker but you do not have to go through the hassle of moving them in place for it.Especially when they cannot use the combination attack themselves. Use your head for a bit before you start throwing insults.

@@Neremworld The problem is they cannot trigger it themselves, so you are wasting time moving them in place for only Hikari to use the combination. Most combinations aren't limited that way. You can use them the whole game, but like I said you have better options. Just because you like or used them all the way to the end doesn't means they are top tier. That's all I'm saying. You are simply blinded by nostalgia to see the cold hard facts you immature brat.
In fact, I can add more, what does Selene have to offer? Nothing except as component for Hikari's finisher. The Sky and Sea gods are weak till they get a stat boost towards the end of the game. Even than their strongest attacks barely match up to the huge selection of big hitters in the game. Fuu's magic is ok but they only can be used only once a map and they lack the impact of Hikari's wish offers. If you wish to use Sea or Sky God, you gotta field both because you will be locked out of their combination attack.
@@ZengarZanvolt I also use them since I got them. I never felt them useless (Fuu for her Bless spirit command). I even sent Fuu and Umi on the frontlines which they mostly wiped out all the grunts in enemy phase. I also deployed all Gundam Fighters so my slots were all taken by Rayearth and G Gundam. I don't even care if I bench the powerhouse units because I played the game for enjoyment for my favorite series.
Of course, it's a waste that Rayearth was the only one who can use the combination attacks but I have to deal with it. And the placing for the combo attacks was not that hard with Harlock's pirate strategy something that cast charge to all units. So yeah. Let us all enjoy the game for the series that we like.

You people should learn to play Super Robot Wars with no mains. Seriously, this is not a classic SRW which were really hard like the time when I left Haman with 150 morale and my fully upgrade (no, upgrade by 5 only but its full in F) of Zeta's Hyper Mega Launcher and x2 damage for Kamille, he did hit her with 20 damage, this game T on the other hand is super easy. Heck, even in SRWF and F Final I even sortied Roux Louka, Puru, Quess and Allenby.
I want a difficulty level like Pride of Justice which the grunts can one hit kill you. Of course later on it will become easy too. So I want a much more harder level than Pride of Justice hahahahaha.
And for the love of. Why would I bench Selece and Windam if Fuu's so great and she's my favorite Rayearth character (the megane, not the shy type but a blunt though polite person. The English translation butchered this there's no honorifics when she's addressing other characters, thankfully I have the Japanese version which the politeness still intact) with a very low SP consumption of Bless. She can even one hit kill all the grunts yeah without stat modified, of course her Windam was fully upgraded though (but even without upgrades, she can still manage, not one hit but still can do decent damage).
This is the fun of playing SRW's, heck Mondo Agake and Inno Abav are in this game (oh how I love to play them not switching, I will leave them at Jegans). You spoiled players on the other hand should be using your Mazinger Z, Shin Getter Dragon, Dann of Thursday and Gunbuster (all the mains actually) because you're too weak as a strategist (now I'm wondering why do you play strategy games). HAHAHA!
My god. This game also comes with an extra action. This super easy game becomes arghh I can't even have the proper word for because the difficulty became a joke that you can label this game as the easiest game you play in your entire life (its not even a strategy game anymore, its as if we're only watching or reading a novel). Yes, without fielding mains. Don't misunderstand me, the fact that it is super easy doesn't make the game trash. I really enjoyed this game and its one of my favorite game now and my favorite SRW surpassing F Final (my all time favorite before this)
OG1 and Moon Dwellers got me hooked on SRW. AND YES, I do main mechs.
As for V, I'll go for the Holy Trinity.

Because they complain a lot that you don't need to deploy the supporting characters because they lack powerful attacks. My point is I can finish this game with no main characters. That's how easy it is so why say there's no point sorting Windam or Selece? My GOD! This was a strategy game so even if you field not so powerful mech you can still win with a little strategy. It's as if their only strategy is to attack enemies with powerful attacks. Just so they know, my Sky God Windam can 1 hit kill all the grunts (not the boss though).
@@cassandra2646 Here is where you entirely miss the point, I started SRW series back on the old black and white gameboy as a kid. SO I sure as heck know how much harder the older games were. But the older games has really broken mechanics that's why it was hard. Especially when your mech's mobility was also tied to your accuracy which made Supers almost have shit tier accuracy especially in F and F final.
You don't need to use any mains or the strongest, my point was simply was that you will only use them if you like them as there are many more better choices out there.

Exactly my point. The one who are much better than Kaishin Selece and Kuushin Windam are the mains, duh!
Umi have useful seishins like Love and Cheer.
Fuu had the very low sp cost of Bless. Not to mention, you can spam Foresee (I never use this seishin, mind you but I know it will come in hand for you).
Now tell me, who are these better choices for secondary or support or feeder characters than them? Nah, I'd even use all the Shuffle Alliance and their seishins aren't much better. It's just the mains who will overpowered them.
Enshin Rayearth's oopps rather their combination attacks Hikari no Rase and Flashing Sword are much more powerful if Fuu and Umi's mashins are deployed (if you want some firepower because that's the way you play).
And for the record, I pity the boss if Umi and Fuu can also use the Flashing Sword, you won't even need the other mechs, just the three Magic Knights in one turn can finish it.
I'd rather have the broken mechanics of the old game than this super easy difficulty that even if I'd just use Selece and Windam I can finish it in a breeze.
But don't get me wrong. Like I said this became my instant favorite game even the difficulty was a joke.
all in all, IMO, SRWF & SRWF-Final is the hardest... followed by Impact.
