Summary: At the end of World War II, the defeated German army went so far as to call in an evil sorcerer in order to turn the tide and attempted to use him to summon Hellboy and defeat the Allies. Luckily, Allied commandos arrived just in time while they were performing the ritual and successfully thwarted their plot, but by this time Hellboy - 1 baby - had already been summoned, and the Allies saw fit to adopt him. Professor Bloom is Hellboy's adoptive father, he used his goodness to teach the Baron, and the Baron used his invulnerable body and natural ability to complete a number of special missions for the U.S. government. However, the Baron's dark and evil nature still lurks in his heart. Will the goodness of mankind finally triumph over the evil from hell?
