So many great cozy Christmas movies! A Paris Christmas waltz, b&b merry, journey back to Christmas, biltmore Christmas, Christmas in evergreen… I could go on and on lol there are so really great hallmark ones and some not so great but I love the wholesomeness and predictability and feel good vibes.

Love my breville barista express!! Built in grinder & steamer and not a wild price increase. Has a bit of a learning curve but gives you more information that allows you to fine tune/really dial in your espresso!! ☕️

My Mom and I bought Hallmark Christmas movie bingo cards last year at Hallmark. We get them out every time we watch a Hallmark movie. Its so fun! We laugh and have so much fun. I highly recommend getting them. They would be really really fun for a girls Christmas party night.

My husband and I upgraded to the Breville Barista Express from the Bambino in the summer and love it soooo much!!!
I have the brand Sage (which is Breville in America) with a handle for tempering. Because i could not think about the fact that i would make a mess when i would temper myself. So that is really my advice!!

The best bowl covers are actually shower caps because they have plastic on the inside. They keep your bread. They keep the bread from drying out.. anything that’s cotton, including a towel or a cotton bowl cover even if it’s wet eventually dries and then sucks the life right out of your dough.

What does packing down the espresso do before you brew it? I never do that and am wondering if I should. 😂
I can answer this for you! I was a professionally trained barista for many years! You absolutely need to tamp the coffee in the portafilter before pulling espresso. This compacts the coffee so that the dense puck slowly filters the water as it runs through. This is what makes espresso so concentrated with caffeine and rich in flavor! It also isn't good for your machine to just put loose coffee grounds in the group head (the place where you insert the wand after filling the portafilter). The amount of pressure used to tamp is also important. Too much and the water will take too long to move through the grounds creating an over-extracted espresso (some people describe this as burnt, or bitter tasting). Too little and the water moves too fast creating an under-extracted espresso (watered down and sour tasting). If you aren't tamping your grounds before extracting them, you're kind of just making french press at that point, while also quickly burning through a lot of coffee without really extracting the caffeine and flavor from it! Hope that helps ❤
