Love the video guys! It's refreshing to be reminded of these fundamentals, I think it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day stress of planning/building and forget why you're doing what you are doing (especially having moved from the architect side to the construction side like I have). Absolutely true about the teamwork too, and I think a good team is one where the vision is clear and everyone understands the 'why'. If I could add a P-word it would be Play, on the designer side and the end user. Andrew knows all about that :P Was thinking along the lines of curiosity but that obviously doesn't start with P...both are important i think.

It’s a surreal feeling to realise that there were buildings standing before our time and they will stand after we pass....and that we would study these precedents and one day what we create will become others’ precedents!! Hence the purpose of architecture and the respect for people and the world we live in should go above all other P’s. Read this on a book before and it really resonates with me - “Architecture is the physical record of human activities and aspirations”

I realize and respect you both are busy individuals, however if and when it is possible to sit down and chat with you two I have some topics that I feel you might find very interesting. Great work as usual. I think having a reminder of the basics is important, especially about designing for people. That's what I like most about AMA's work, you can tell that it has been designed for someone, not just a rehash of an ill fitting idea or an off-the-shelf solution. Also a plus 1 for a King Billy video! Loved the last ones on Rae Rae House and Union House

Love the “P”s, the main one People - so often forgotten in the fog of war. Architecture is about a Product that is fit for Purpose for its People and of its Place. I do have another P that Practitioners need to manage every day (small or large businesses) and that is Profit. If you can’t stay in the business of Architecture you cant deliver good Projects. That P is as much of a challenge as the other P’s but this is never taught in architecture school. How to run a practice.....
