  • A slideshow tribute to the work of Jack P. Pierce, one of the greatest make-up artists of all the time and a true pioneer at his craft. His work had a deep impact on the audience and the next generation of make-up artists and monster makers. Pierce contributed in bringing of so many horror icons to life, such as "Dracula" (1931), "Frankenstein" (1931), "Murders in Rue Morgue" (1932), "The Mummy" (1932), "Bride of Frankenstein" (1935), "Werewolf in London" (1935) and "The Wolf Man" (1941).

    This man was a true genius. He deserved so much acclaim during his lifetime. A single mind responsible for iconic images known the world over. A remarkable achievement .

    Without this man, we would never envisage the Frankenstein monster with the famous flat head and neck bolts that we have all become used to.
