Unclecoolie Productions What dashcam do you use? Also, you should probably turn off your mic since recording audio is basically pointless because there’s really nothing relevant to hear, and also, your file sizes will then be smaller and you’ll probably save quite a bit of drive and SD card space so you can record for longer. However, one kind request I do have is this: If you can, could you maybe start uploading your videos in 4K (UHD) and/or 60fps? I would really appreciate it. And yes, I get it. It would _definitely_ not save you drive and card space, it would use up even more, but I’d just love to have a more clear and/or smooth experience while watching your real time road trip driving videos. The 2nd part - St Petersburg to Knoxville, Tennessee - will not have any GPS information shown in the video, but the last part will.
Thanks. Yeah, that's the problem with driving in Florida during summer afternoons/evenings. I had considered waiting until winter to do the drive from where I live in Virginia to Key West. Usually the weather is better - more sunshine and clear skies, but also the days are shorter. I am considering a drive like that this winter because I was torn about driving entirely on I-95 or driving on US-1 all the way down. So if I do that drive again this winter, I will do it on US-1 or some other alternative to I-95.
I don’t know how much control you have on choosing your drives, but you should do Maine to Florida trying to stay off 95. Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Rt 13 and 301 thru Maryland is really pretty
I was torn between taking I-95 and taking an alternate route, such as US-1. Due to time constraints, I was forced to take I-95. I live in Virginia, and I am thinking of doing another drive either up to New England or down to Florida driving only US-1. I'll see what happens. In the meantime, I am planning a big trip this summer to drive from New York to California, as well as other trips in and around my area. I have a video uploaded of a drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel from 2 years ago.
Where and how is the best place to mount the camera on my vehicle Mr. Coolie? My wife and I are planning a cross country trip for our anniversary and I'm afraid my go pro is going to overheat and not record the memories. Thank you in advance. I'm a fan of your work. Keep 'em coming!
Thank you very much. I try to mount it as high on the windshield as possible, and because of the rear-view mirror, I usually mount it on the passenger side of the mirror. That way it's out of my way while I'm driving, but I can still easily reach it if I have to adjust the angle of the camera. I don't know how the Go Pro is, but the Garmin that I use doesn't seem to have any issues with overheating. With the exception of my trip back and forth between Stuttgart and the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, I record all of my trips in 1080p/30fps due to the sheer amount of memory needed to record many hours of video each day of driving. In that setting I've not had any issues with overheating. I will be putting the Garmin to the test this summer when I drive through the hot deserts of Nevada and California. One other thing that you can do is buy a little battery-operated fan to blow on the camera if you're concerned about overheating. I did that while I was driving through the desert of California. It might make for noise on the microphone, though. (I didn't have to worry about that as I recorded that drive in time-lapse using my old Mobius Action Camera.) One other suggestion is to get a 2nd identical camera and another memory card for that camera so that you can quickly stop and swap it out without losing too much time. I have a 2nd Garmin as well, even though I haven't had to use it yet. I also bring my laptop and external hard drives to back up the video each night after driving. Recording even only at 1080p/30fps will consume large amounts of memory, and in any given day of driving, I could amass 200 GB of memory. Let me know if you have any other questions/concerns.

Either your scale is wrong, or your distance measuring is wrong. One of them is.
No, the scale is wrong. I didn't notice that until several hours after I published the video. The scale shown should state 100 KM and 200 KM - exactly half of what is shown. I didn't want to take the video down after publishing because I did that once before and it really inconvenienced a lot of my viewers.
@@unclecoolie Yep figured so. lol Naa, no reason to take it down.
Wait... St. Petersburg is one of the most biggest cities in Russia..
...and Florida. 😊
Storms really didn't like you that afternoon lol
Lol. That's pretty typical of south Florida in the summertime.
@@unclecoolie did the rainstorms continue through Miami? (I don't know about Orlando since I'm going there in 6/30/19)
@@GS_Cloud26 There's a high likelihood of rain. It rains about everyday in the summertime. The good thing is that the storms are usually short. The storms in this video were longer than usual.
@@unclecoolie I'm not landing in Orlando until about 9pm
@@GS_Cloud26 You might be okay by that point.
Why does it go from dark to light?
What do you mean? It starts out light then to dark.
@@unclecoolie on 1:08:57 it's dark then it goes sunny again.
2nd
can you paint a room so we can watch the paint dry ?
Umm, no.
man i love Floridia :)
I like it in the winter.
Прикольно очень нравится)) но музыки не хватает
Thank you! I can't use copyrighted music, and I don't want to try to fill up a long video with "free" music.
@@unclecoolie простите не хотела вас как-то обидеть
@@ferzword No offense at all.
Here korea I'm korean goooooooood~~
That's good. Put the speed and the distance. I want driving. In the future is I can drive. How old are you. Can you show your face.
I like my privacy.
@@unclecoolie Ok, keep your privacy.
Go to St Petersburg, Russia
One day I might.
get a 4k camera bro. the quality is garbage
This camera is 4K, but I lowered the resolution to 1080p because these videos are long as I recorded this in real-time.
Why so fast?? Why watch everything rushing by at 150 MPH?? What's the point? I enjoyed your other trips-- watching the scenery, listening to the drone of the tires on the pavement. They are relaxing and interesting. This is unreal, frantic, tense (and silent!). Not enjoyable at all.
Most of his vids are like this. Give him time tho, he usually releases the real-time versions as well.
Correct.
I upload both real-time and time-lapse versions of my road trips now due to demand from my fans. And I will be uploading the real-time of this trip and my east coast trip after I finish this trip's time-lapse videos. I wanted to take a sabbatical from doing anything more with the east coast trip because I spent an immense amount of time working on that video, but I will start uploading the real-time videos of that trip right after I finish this trip's time-lapse videos. I will also be uploading hyper-lapse versions of my really long videos due to demand for those as well.
@@unclecoolie Thank you. I'm sure I'll enjoy it in real-time.
@@mumgojungo I'm glad to know that.
