Members of Queen were reluctant at first when they've been approached to do the music but when they saw 20 minutes raw shots of the movie they were excited: THAT'S US! 😅❤
They were asked for one song and ended writing the whole movie soundtrack of 9 songs ... 😮
Freddie wrote Princes of the Universe, Brian penned Who Wants To Live Forever (on the way back from seeing the cut, his manager drove him and a song just appeared in Brian's mind), Gimme The Prize and Hammer To Fall, Roger did A Kind Of Magic and John wrote One Year Of Love ... ❤
And they really are PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE!

"Highlander" is a 1985 fantasy action adventure. Queen wrote the soundtrack; the songs are on the album, "A Kind of Magic". I'm probably not the only one that saw the movie just because of Queen, lol, but I liked it once I figured out what the heck was going on. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

This is the theme song from the Queen soundtrack for the movie Highlander written by Freddie. Roger wrote A Kind Of Magic, John Wrote One Year Of Love and Brian wrote Who Wants To Live Forever. I believe there are more Queen songs on this soundtrack as well.

Love Brian’s guitar solo .. The 1986 Highlander film is definitely worth a watch starring Sean Connery, Christopher Lambert, & Clancy Brown! Each member of Queen wrote a song or two for the movie soundtrack! 🍿 You gotta check out GIMME THE PRIZE .. Banger, from the movie!
