Don Baskin, the singer worked for me as a service advisor at Los Gatos Honda for a couple of years. He was a great guy and my friend. Sadly, Don Baskin, lead singer and founding member of the popular 60's band, Syndicate of Sound, passed away in his sleep at his home in Northern California on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the age of 73. I still think of him often. Still miss him, his voice, his humor and dedication to his job and music.

What a great freaking song..Singer's attitude and side comments(yeah...) really drive home the song's theme. Also guitar part (chunking rhythm) much trickier than it seems.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Even the singer's side yeah's and mocking laugh at this "little girl." Great song and one you never hear on the oldie's and classic rock stations. I haven't heard it since I was a young kid.

I loved the song when it came out and I still think it's pretty great.
I've always wondered about the last 2 bars of the song (also heard at 1:36). Is it a progression that they came up with? Emerson Lake and Palmer used a very similar progression about 6 years later in the last part of Trilogy (from the Trilogy album). Or maybe it's just fever dreams?
