Over the years, I've subscribed to and followed lots of different channels. Hat Films is the only channel that has stood the test of time in terms of my consistent viewership. I've been watching these guys since I was 11. I'm now in my senior years in high school. The guys' humour changed with my sense of humour as well, that's the main reason I stuck around. Thanks for all the memories over the years and cheers for many more.
I remember when my mate in school said "you should watch these Hat Films guys, they're really great" and then it began.... back in Skylands... I've watched almost every video since... You guys have made my days for the past 6 years and I'm so grateful, thanks for everything you do! Ive promised myself I will repay you in some fashion in the future when I can!
Yeah, my story was the same. Some guy way back in the early years of high school said "oi mate, check this lot out". We had a falling out years ago, but the bond that I have to Hat Films only grows stronger every video (just like the dick joke that this channel is culminating to).
I think i discovered the hats when they were doing the crown conquest with yogscast, cause i was watching yogscast at the time, and then these guys came along and filled my ear with some dirty dirty jokes (and a penis or two) and that was that, a hatter forevermore.
I've been subscribed to both hat films for many many years. I remember their videos like they remember them. Its not only a tour though their history but also mine. As a young teenager I watched their videos loving Minecraft and the short random stuff they did (filthy day). As this channel has grown up so have I and It makes me very happy to say after hundreds of hours of pod cast listening and video watching, you have been a huge part of my life and I genuinely thank you for this. Thank you chaps
Goodness, I really enjoyed this video. It's been wonderful to grow up as Hat Films has matured. I have nostalgia for those old videos, but right now I'm loving the content as much as ever. That just speaks to the boys' skill at audience retention - their rapport and banter is timeless, and they're constantly refining and rejuvenating their videos. I also get the impression that Ross, Alex, and Chris have been feeling down recently about what they perceive as a stagnation in their popularity, as measured by numbers of views and subscribers. I understand how they may feel disappointed that their hard work may go unrewarded compared to what appears to be others' relative ease. What I'm sorry to see is that they seem to think the stagnation caused by a loss of talent (they often talk about how funny they were or how dedicated they were back then in this video). What's troubling is that they seem to tie their perceived talent to their worth as entertainers. This is a human thing to do, but it hurts the entertainer, as it robs them of the confidence and energy to appear "talented." I guess that's all just speculation, and I know they enjoy what they do, but they do seem a bit down and even insecure in this video. It's still one of my favorites that they've ever put out. I just hope they can find a happy medium for their sakes.

Their Diablo 3 playthrough was an amazing series, one of my favourites. Tons of great banter, a nice chill atmosphere and some pretty decent gameplay. It spawned some great memes such as "my life for the coif". If there is one thing to take away from this video it is that you should go watch that series right now.
