I got the Explorer type, and it was in fantastic shape when I got it. It was intonated and the action was good. The frets were level. The tuners and pickups are crap, but I'm getting ready to change those and it'll be good to go. It's worth way more than a little over $200. It's got stainless steel frets. The best deal I got was a Firefly Charvel copy! That thing is perfect in every way, and could easily sell for $700-$800.
Yep, thats pretty much the same experience I had with it. But what a modding platform! Better pickups and tuners and this thing is ready for the stage.
At this price its perfect for a mod platform and gigging guitar. You didn't pay a ton for it so you don't mind it getting beat up on stage. Ya figure if you get a few years out of it you more than got your money's worth and under stage lights this thing would be a show stealer.
If you're doing this video for a musician, you're going to need to play the thing and let me judge its sound, you've got to do it thru a good tube amp and play some decent leads with it. Dwelling on the paint job ain't gonna tell me nothin' at all. My affection for that shape harkens back to the iconic Albert King, who did a billion times more for music than any hard rocker metal-head.
Yes I know, but I'm a guitar builder not a guitar player. I can play chords but I couldn't play a lead to save my life. I'm just giving the luthiers perspective. But believe me I get what your saying. In my later vids i give sound samples.

Where can I get one and for how much and can I get a maple neck and a lefty
You can still get the Cerberus model but they discontinued that finish. As far as I know they do not make a lefty or Maple neck version.
Can I get this lefy and maple neck
Unfortunately as far as I know it is not available in that configuration
