I mean they probably attempted it multiple times and may have used r3 in their previous attempts. You're seeing the end result after they'd memorized everything.
Ah yes Arkham series. Where the AI would adjust on the fly. You do to many inverted takedowns in one area, the enemies stay away and start looking up more frequently. Hell I remember at some point they would shoot down breakable vantage points. Stealth gameplay was wayyyy better.
On spiderman I had a game where the enemies literally kept walking to the same zip line and I would press a button to hang them up. I swear I had at least 10 dummies on one zip line.
So true, stealthing the arkham predator sections was a different, more stategic ball game with so many takedown combos; explosive gel(s) + fear multi for example. The AI would learn, adapt, overcome almost as quickly as Batman if you weren't efficient enough, or maybe you want them scared, blood rushing to their heads until the last goon/militia realises they're the last prey of the hunt 😅 This game packs on some improvements fs from Spiderman PS4 I noticed enemies pair up now if they realise spiderman catches them from behind and if you shoot webs at distractions too many times (even if you keep moving while shooting) enemies will look in the direcrion it came from instead of checking out the distraction.
In all fairness, in the Arkham games Stealth was the primary mechanic. You could even hide from many bosses. On occasion (especially Asylum) you'd be forced to fight regular enemies hand-to-hand, but silently clearing entire rooms is one of the main draws, and the games are designed around that. Even basic encounters have perches and scans and support characters that should be taken out first. You CAN go in guns blazing, but the game EXPECTS you to Stealth it up. Hence why melee combat in all three games is quite repetitive. Spider-Man is the opposite. You CAN go in Stealth with a lot of missions, but for the most part Spider-Man treats it the same way many third-person Action-Adventure games do, as a simplistic alternative to reward creative play. There are only a few areas or missions where Stealth is recommended, and almost every time you clear a base using Stealth that's attached to any kind of story, a new group of enemies drives in that all automatically know where you are. If the game doesn't just teleport you into the middle of them. Meanwhile, the human portions of both games, where Stealth is actually the focus, ARE well-crafted around your limited movement and mechanics. The game understands the tactics you'd employ and requires you to think more creatively while still giving you a bit of leeway if you're seen. The enormous contrast between going into a warehouse as Spider-Man and trying to escape from Norman Osborne's office as MJ shows extremely clearly that Spider-Stealth was always meant to be a fun possible bonus, not the intended way to play the game. I mean, the big "reward" for succeeding a mandatory Stealth section is getting to immediately beat all those guys up as Spider-Man. The melee combat is tight and crafted, with dozens of combos that work at various ranges and different counters and abilities you have to be aware of. Stealth as Spider-Man, meanwhile, is repetitive. Because although the game takes inspiration from the Arkham games, they aren’t even close to being the same thing.
@@noicoiner6151funnily enough I discovered it in the first game because of the similar ledge takedown from Arkham lol but the problem with these games is how it’s borderline impossible for Spider-Man to be perched on a ledge and then just wall crawl right below him you can only like fancy jump off and half the time you can’t immediately web back to the wall so you just get screwed

Fun fact about both game series: Batman Arkham across four games sold over 30 million copies available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Marvels Spider-Man across three games has sold over 33 million copies while only being available on PlayStation.
I wish these games had a little more robust stealth akin to the Arkham series cuz it’s WAY too easy to stealth your way through scenarios like this. I appreciate the option to just drop into combat and you won’t just get annihilated by guns, but I wish you were rewarded a little more for doing stealth. Heck, I forgot Miles could turn invisible for like… 75% of this game because it’s never really required. At least his solo game made sure it was an integral mechanic.
