Josh Barr had earned the 184 spot. As for 157, Kasak looked like the more aggressive wrestler. Facundo looked slow and tired. I think the weight cut from 174 to 157 was just too much.
Zach. Kasak can’t redshirt this year because he wrestled attached today. He’s the best guy. Alex will be a great back up for 157 up to 174 in case of illness injury etc
Told ya so last video. Stop sleeping on Josh he is an animal. That whole region of Michigan has put out great wrestlers for over a decade. Braeden facundo and Barr from Dundee and Davison High to name a few the PSU fan base will know
I remember reading that Carter tried to break Josh Barr when he first got to campus and couldn’t do it. Josh was right in there. As far as Tyler v Alex, Alex looked so passive in the Drexel duel. For him taking a year off he should be dominating just about everyone.
It's Kasak. I disagree respectfully Zach. The better wrestler should start. Bartlett does what he always does. He wins but it rarely looks good. How about LL? Wow.
Definitely Kasak. Facundo will be great backup for duals and otherwise can probably have a great international career in freestyle. But Kasak can be NCAA champ, if not now then some point in next few years. I don’t know why this would still be a question for Zach.
I'm there, I think the better wrestle should start at 157. I acknowledged that here. I said logistically, it would make sense to redshirt. But not if he has the advantage over Facundo.
Early in the bout, Facundo landed on his foot weird and sustained what looked like a strange turf-toe injury. Haven’t heard anyone say anything about it yet, but that also could have played into that bout a little. Kazakh looked like he fits 57 really well and didn’t seem undersized or sluggish in the least. He is a beast for sure. I’d love to see that matchup a few times in the room at PSU
Hopefully you back off a bit from your incessant Marisola is going to be a 4xer just because of a great performance vs Brooks. Go back and watch him vs Sinclair. I think there is a real chance both Marisola's might only start for a year or less. Yes they are huge studs, but temper the GOAT type comments every time you talk about him.
Bo did not dominate..he went to sv in the quarters....he lied when he said he could enter the flo state at will his offense still blows goats. Probably Cael's only failure as a coach is Bo Bartletts offense.
Josh Barr was a beast..He is a contender for sure
I feel bad for Facundo but Kasak is better

I wonder the same. It's unfortunate but the cut may be too tough for Facundo.
It's not matter of it being too "tough" for him. It's just not his right weight class. Obviously he is very tough.
Completely agree with you. That’s what I meant by tough for him; that is, may be too much of a cut and not the right weight for him.
When has Facundo been a 174lber? He wrestled 165 his freshman season and 163 internationally. Please don't exaggerate the cut.
@@djp5293He went to 174 equivalent for freestyle. Pan Am Games this year for example. Not exaggerating. It's a known fact he was up in weight.
I think Tyker locked it up. He was a hammer on top all day.
Josh Barr is 100% a contender for a national championship. He was a beast
197 is crowded, but Barr can be the one to break through that crowd.

Good point. I was not sure if he did or not.

Cstar has said he will be a multiple national champion. Barr is a stud
And props to Cael and Co. for recruiting them away from UM.

He graduated at 170 as a senior in high school… he is NOT a 157 pounder.
I am surprised. I thought Facundo would be as sharp as a tack, given his development. But even that is still not enough...

Is Kasak even allowed to redshirt this season after wrestling in the Black Knight?
It depends on if he wrestle attached or unattached. But it looks like he wrestled attached.
@LockedOnNittanyLions Black Knight Invitational did not allow unattached wrestlers
So, Zach, I take it you have a plan that you can share with Cael??
Yes, I'll be sure to let Coach know what he should do with his starting lineup 😂

Fair point. But both Mirasola's can still be really good and multi-year champions. They did not get here by accident.

Seems like Bo does the SV win vs “inferior” competition now and then
Beau has probably the most 3-1 wins in the country
Facundo and Kasak looked terrible..That match goes either way anytime..
THEY HAVE ONLY HAD A FEW MATCHES BUT KASAK HAS HAD HARDER MATCHES AND DONE BETTER
