There are many fabulous versions of the Morpeth Rant to be discovered in the historical record. However, there are two that are particularly current. The more well known version, which is sometimes referred to as the New Morpeth Rant, has already been deposited into The Tune Vault. This version, which contains similarities with the older manuscript versions, is one I associate with the Scottish Borders and the repertoire of Tom Hughes.
