This is actually the original full-length version featured on the American Gigolo soundtrack. The 3-minute version is just a radio edit from the soundtrack version
Huge hit back in the late 1970’s and a total banger! The band and their lead hot blond, Deborah Harry was sought after by her fans and everyone on the music industry!
Yes Shawn...Clem Burke, the drummer, was always fantastic with the beat. Debbie Harry's vocals..just spectacular on all their huts. This is definitely a favorite of mine from Blondie...great reaction Shawn 🎤🎸🎶💖
LONNNNNNG version! This one never got radio time...Only heard the 3 or 4 minute copy before. Love it. For me Blondie popped up out of nowhere in the early 1980s. My first introduction was a Blondie poster on my kid brother's bedroom wall (the whole group, not just Debby). ;-) Love this one.
Not eight minutes on the album. They used to make extended disco versions of dance songs. Try ‘One Way or Another’ or ‘Dreaming’. The drumming on ‘Dreaming’ is crazy. Clem Burke is the drummer. He had a short stint with the Ramones. He’s well respected.
Great reaction! I think you’re the first reactor to listen to the original full-length version of Call Me, the most popular single of 1980 according to Billboard. You just can’t go wrong with Blondie and Giorgio Moroder
The combined efforts of Clem Burke on the drums. Chris Stein on the guitar as well as keyboards wrapped up with super sonic octives of Debbie Harry makes it the perfect 80's track.
Great reaction to Call Me! If you like Blondie bangers then check out Dreaming, Atomic, Hanging On The Telephone, Accidents Never Happen and Union City Blue. . .so many to choose from. Enjoy 😊
Love blondie ! This has been my ringtone for years lol gotta listen to in the flesh it was the song that finally pushed em to fame I think you'll like it. Hanging on the telephone, dreaming, the tide is high....
Blondie, simply legendary! Soooo many great hits! And think about it, it was a producer who converted them from pure punk to pure pop hit-makers ... By the way, this is an extended/remixed version. Standard version is a lot shorter ...
Theme song to the film AMERICAN GIGILO (1980). They had a lot of hits in a short time frame - Chris Stein developed a rare, near-deadly skin disease and they disbanded in '82. Debby took care of him fulltime. They made a comeback in late '90s with MARIA. Also, try SHAYLA, SUNDAY GIRL, UNION CITY BLUE, X OFFENDER, KIDNAPPER, THE TIDE IS HIGH, DREAMING, HEART OF GLASS, RAPTURE and more. Their early stuff was Punk, before going more commercial with New Wave. I never heard that extended cut before... They were in Meat Loaf's 1980 film ROADIE, and performed a cover of RING OF FIRE, which was killer.
Giorgio moroder did a song with kylie minogue who just got her second grammy the Brits icon award and the billboard women in music icon award called right here right now in 2015.
Great fun watching your reaction. Shawn. I was doing some chair dancing myself, lol. Two other Blondie numbers that will get your blood pumpin' are "One Way or Another" and "Dreaming". If you'd like to slow it down a bit, "The Tide is High" is a good, catchy choice. (When I run through their hits in my mind, I realize just how versatile they were.)
This is an extended dance remix. Back in the 70's and 80's, and even now, many songs were remixed into Extended Dance versions that were much longer than the album versions.
No it’s not, this is the original version featured on the American Gigolo soundtrack. Since it was never released on a Blondie album besides compilations. The original full-length version was edited for radio which is the common 3 minute version
Love that you reacted to the extended version!!! Anything produced by Giorgio Moroder is amazing! You should hear the extended version of his song KNIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN.
I've never heard this extended version, only the radio single. It's good, but it became a bit too repetitive for me to listen to on its own, but I would have loved it at a dance club.

Drummer Clem Burke was working overtime on this track! He's a real beast on Blondie's "Dreaming"!
Was used in the movie "American Gigilo" with Richard Gere.
Love it. Blondie’s a band way ahead of their time. Try One Way or Another, Dreaming, Hanging on the Telephone, Atomic.
I've never heard this extended version. Absolute dance floor banger!
This is actually the original full-length version featured on the American Gigolo soundtrack. The 3-minute version is just a radio edit from the soundtrack version
Same here. Wow
So many types of music were played in dance clubs/discos in this era. It wasn't all Bee Gees and Donna Summer.
Huge hit back in the late 1970’s and a total banger! The band and their lead hot blond, Deborah Harry was sought after by her fans and everyone on the music industry!
This came out in 1980 for the movie American Gigolo with Richard Gere. ❤
this tune was a perfect intro to the movie 'American Gigolo', starring a young, fit Richard Gere.
The lyrics don't even make sense unless you've seen the movie. Which I did, repeatedly.
THIs is the original long version and is the best f masterpiece!!! thanks for your reaction and greetings from perú.
This was huge back in my 20s. Love the 80s!!
Big at Studio 54 back in the day ❤️ (New York) 1980-81 Disco beat Great reaction 🔥
@MikeOstrowski-iq8wf did you go to Studio 54 when Nicky Siano was DJing there?
Yes Shawn...Clem Burke, the drummer, was always fantastic with the beat. Debbie Harry's vocals..just spectacular on all their huts. This is definitely a favorite of mine from Blondie...great reaction Shawn 🎤🎸🎶💖
Hadn't heard this longer version which is su much better than the short one.
For sure! This is the only version for me
LONNNNNNG version! This one never got radio time...Only heard the 3 or 4 minute copy before. Love it.

This is not an extended version

I watched this iconic Goddess sing this song live.
Everything Blondie does is fire!!!
I love me some Debbie Harry. This was definitely not the radio play song. First time I've heard this version, I love it.
My TDK tape recorder never saw this version. More is better, in this case
This version is the OG featured on the American Gigolo soundtrack.
Great song. Blondie had several great hits. This seems to be a 12 inch single version. Thanks for the reaction.
Blondie is an iconic awesome punk band from the 70's and 80's. with many great hits😁
The combined efforts of Clem Burke on the drums. Chris Stein on the guitar as well as keyboards wrapped up with super sonic octives of Debbie Harry makes it the perfect 80's track.
You were lovin’ this one! 😀 great reaction! 😀
one of there best but underated is "The Hardest Part" the video! you will thank me later!
Great reaction to Call Me! If you like Blondie bangers then check out Dreaming, Atomic, Hanging On The Telephone, Accidents Never Happen and Union City Blue. . .so many to choose from. Enjoy 😊
Used in the movie American Gigolo.

Yep. Still rocks. Very cool.
One of those rare songs you dance to like a metal or rock song and not like a disco song.
This is the version from the American Gigolo Soundtrack album.
The original version.
I’ve always loved this extended version! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
All I can say is Blondie Baby!!!❤
Blondie did a few that are worth checking out, get one with a video, Debbie was also nice to look at, as much as she was to listen to !
Great memories.
Blondie=legend Debbie Harry=legend!
THANK YOU for reacting to the extended version!! That was awesome, subbed!
Never knew there was a long version
“Will Anything Happen?” is a great under the radar one to check out.
Giorgio moroder did a song with kylie minogue who just got her second grammy the Brits icon award and the billboard women in music icon award called right here right now in 2015.

This is one of the rare cases where the extended version of a pop song is actually better than the regular version.
This is an extended dance remix. Back in the 70's and 80's, and even now, many songs were remixed into Extended Dance versions that were much longer than the album versions.

The extended cut is a revelation!
Shayla is nice.
Love that you reacted to the extended version!!! Anything produced by Giorgio Moroder is amazing! You should hear the extended version of his song KNIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN.
Is not extended, is the original version, for the movie
You must have got a hold of an extended or remix. I've never heard this version. Still good but not the radio edit.
😍😍😍
Great band and then they had a talented iconic goddess for a front woman.
I've never heard this extended version, only the radio single. It's good, but it became a bit too repetitive for me to listen to on its own, but I would have loved it at a dance club.
Where are my roller skates?
Debra Harry was a playboy bunny. Hugh Hefner got her started.
Seems to me that a video actually showing Debbie Harry would have been nice, maybe you don't like her looks...
Not familiar with this version.
It’s the original full-length version. The most common version is just and edit from the original
