- Band - Barren Cross.
Music - The Stage Of Intensity.
Album - State Of Control.
Year - 1989.
Barren Cross is a Christian metal band that was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1983.
I remember listening to this band in high school, they were way ahead of their time. I love the message that this album delivers. Basically it was a band members reaching out to Children of addicts and letting the kids know hey this is not your fault what's going on I can understand your pain and the best way to be is in a state of control.
This is the ultimate pump you up song..👍🏽🙏🏽
Classic
I remember being 13 seeing them in concert, headbanging and stage diving. Those were the days!

So many Great Bands and Albums from the 80s! Check out X-Sinner, too!
As good as it is in it's own right!
Epic acoustic/electric guitar duo at 5:05
I followed these guys around back-in-the-day and seen them several times over the many years.
Wheeling WV University ('88), Rochester NY - Penny Arcade bar/club, Cornerstone '89, Jamestown NY - River of Life Church, University in Ohio 1994 (I don't remember the city)
I completely missed their performance in Rochester. I locked the keys in the trunk of the car and spent the entire time trying to figure out how to get the car open and get them back. We were 6 hours away from home.

Well, with drums
After not hearing this song for a very long time(still have the cassette tape🤘🏼)….it just occurred to me that Jack Black was probably inspired by this song before creating TENACIOUS D…🤔😂
I think I like these guys a little better than Iron Maiden
Ya.... I agree

Christian metal was so bad a$$ back in the day. Was stage diving to these guys when I was 13. Believer was the best though. Throw is some crucified too.
The last time I seen Believer was at an Elementary school in '93. We got there late and I only seen their last two songs. They opened for Holy Soldier.
Before that I seen them at Cornerstone '90 with their 3 piece orchestra. Cool stuff.
Too weak to defeat
