- In this video I make a comparison between past and present versions of Cooler in DBFZ !
He has received some interesting buffs in the recent patch, and wanted to cover them in a video.
Also, if you play him, I included some new combos that you can practice. :)

Man cooler was already one of my favorites to play and seeing his big weakness get addressed is gonna make pressure and combos so much scarier. Can't wait to test him out in training and in ladder
Finally Cooler gets some justice! Ive been playing him since he came out and low key, people do not expect anyone to be good with cooler. Its fun to join a group chat and hear them freak out when a decent cooler player is in the ring.
I am still going to downplay the hell out of cooler just so people don't know what I wanna do

Cooler has so many restart points in his blockstrings, and he has a dp. Not to mention that j.h 🤣. If he had a grab he would be the Ssgss Gogeta of this patch.

I always loved how brutish Cooler was compared to Frieza. And now that he’s pretty safe universally it’s gonna be even cooler

True, but his new combo routes with beam are so much cooler (no pun intended).
I just passed an entire session just on training mode learning the combos and felt really satisfied.
Cooler has always had such ridiculous range, so it's really cool to see his pressure being that much better. He's also been a pretty oddball character in terms of playstyle (for me personally), but I'm glad to see he'll hopefully be pretty good now.
Been a Cooler main since the beginning of Season 4, and let me tell you something: He doesn’t open you up. He’s built to condition and punish you, and if he lands a hit, 💀.
@@InfraredGod You can open someone up with his Dive Kick EX, u can either do 5L DR or do a DR Crush which is 5L + Dive Kick EX

Because 5H does everything, it's actually going to be _much_ easier to open people up with him now.
5H > OTG is a true blockstring now. So is 5H > beam and if you do it midscreen then it pushes him back basically at max range of his huge 5M. 5H > light and EX divekicks beat 2H now.
There's more, but basically what I'm saying is the RPS/mental stack of Cooler is sky high
@@Kitsune986 Hm, I forgot about that making OTG and beam a true string. The buffed the blockstun instead of the recovery, so that makes sense.

Yes sir. 5H > 214S is a true blockstring now. So is 5H > beam. Also, 5H > light and EX divekicks beat 2H now. 5H does everything, lol. Cooler is honestly feasting this patch

As someone who's been playing cooler since he launched I love the new patch
medium chaser feels so much faster after the buff
Of note: After 5H he can jail into 214S (Death Shaker) which can also jail into vanish. If he does Divekick (L or H) after 5H, you hit the opponent if they try to 2H you.
Meaning you can just do 5H in neutral and buffer one of the two options and I guarantee you will catch people with it. There is no easy way out for them

As a newish Booler main I was happy to see the 5H stun buff, but was sad I didn’t see rejump stuff cuz that was one of the reasons I picked him up-the swag, the sauce…. And then @3:01 happened 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🫣

I haven't played in almost a year cause I would just get too worked up but dang, seeing my favorite (and arguably best) character get buffed like this gets me super tempted to play again.

Eh...it's way too early to tell, but these buffs are even more ridiculous than the video showed.

Awesome! But I’m having trouble hitting his 2M after 5H, especially when it comes to doing combo. I know I have to micro-dash forward right after the 5H but is there a certain timing when I must hit 2M or anything?
I don't think so. I think the timing is pretty lenient so long as you dash forward a bit immediately
