The way he says “blueberries” 😭🙊🤩. I can’t
The way Rowan says Yogurt and Blueberries is so cute omg 😭
He is too cute to handle!
I absolutely loved the editing of this vlog! Way to go Tara & Megan!
She did such a great job!
Your makeup looks so beautiful !!!
I had to wear a mask during my son’s birth - not ideal, but you got this !
Okay way he says "blueberries" is so precious 😍😍
Honestly so jealous of how amazing your father in law is! I swear every video he just gets more and more incredible 😂
We are very spoiled for sure!
The mask policy when you’re PUSHING?!?! That is incredibly infuriating and inhumane. Only “If you’re “struggling to breath””🙄… have these people never seen someone give birth?! It’s not like moms are just chillin 😅
@@mjey1 two wrongs don't make a right? That's equally as ridiculous.
@@mjey1 yeah I'm saying I don't agree with that, especially after a negative test? That's ridiculous.
I really don't see the point - if the medical staff is wearing a mask, why can't the person giving birth remove it? They do test you for covid before you are admitted.
I was forced to deliver in an n95 mask
I also had to wear a mask when I gave birth in November last year, but I was allowed to take it off while I was labouring alone in the room. They would just remind me to put it back on whenever the doctors and the midwives came in
Target always gives me expired, or almost expired, produce when I do pickup, so I feel ya girl. Also, the new editing is top notch; props to Tara.
I can't believe the hospital is making you wear a mask even while pushing! I love how positive you were about taking a minute to digest the information instead of immediately reacting. I would have cried for sure.
I am so sorry about the hospital’s mask policy! If you test negative, there should be no issue with being mask-free. As a nurse, personally, I would not enforce that if it all possible. As a patient, I would likely not comply. They won’t kick you out while you’re pushing. Just a thought.🤷♀️
Rowan is sooo adorable! I’ve been watching your videos since I found your baby shower haul from when you were pregnant with Rowan and I was pregnant at the time as well. My daughter will be 2 in November🥲 it’s very sweet to see how big Rowan has gotten and the way he talks, stinkin cutie!
Would love to know how you and your family like the freezer meals! I’m not pregnant but I found this baby prep video so relaxing and calming for some reason. Wishing you good vibes!
I'm so excited to watch your family grow! Giving me lots of ideas for the future, thank you ❤
You are such a good mama ♥️!!! I just subscribed to your channel super glad I did !!
New editor did a great job!
megan i will be praying that you have the best labor! PS I LOVE my cottage core mama shirt💜🙏
I’m just now getting to the video! I had my sOn @ 37 weeks so I’ve been busy. Can’t wait for you to have yours 💕
I gave birth at the height of covid and wore my mask throughout labor, it wasn't that bad during pushing. More annoyingly was how sweaty I got under the mask. You can do it!
Yes i wore my mask too, but i was given an epidural. Don’t think I could have done it unmedicated…
We bought a giant pack of masks so they can be discarded when sweaty and replaced! Hopefully we don’t need them too much…
Rowan saying blueberries is killing me 😭
An Electric can opener saved my life haha one of my number one kitchen products I recommend to people! So excited for you guys I will have to save this idea for my next baby/postpartum period 😊
Why don’t ALL cans have the pop tops?
@@Matt_Acuna that would make life so much easier!
I have one thats super easy to use, a magi-can can opener its called but I've had it for years and im in Australia. It's white. Opens all cans very easily, its not electric.
Bububees for the blueberries 😍😭😭 he’s too cute
I’m 36 weeks, and I’ve only got a few things that I need left and most of it is postpartum supplies.. I’m super nervous that with money being tight I won’t be able to get my stuff before baby comes! It’s super stressful😅 I’m glad to see someone more prepared
The hospital gives you everything you need! Hold off on buying supplies especially if money is tight. You’ll be ok mama!
@@emmamele7683 yah I remember from when I had my first, but it didn’t last as long as I needed it too. I plan to ask for even more extras this time, I’m hoping I don’t bleed for as long this time as well..it took 12 weeks for the bleeding to stop with my first
If you put the knives that are on the bottom row the other way (which most people say is upside down) then when you pull them out you don’t dull the knives as fast. Think of how you pull them out…you push down on the knife block, if it’s “upside down” you don’t dull the knife!
I’m actually so particular about this and hold them to the side and up 😆
Hey Megan, I just had a baby in February and they were a little more relaxed with masks when I was pushing so I was allowed to take it off… but I actually never ended up taking it off and it was seriously not as hard as I had imagined. There were a couple moments where I pulled it down for some breaths but it mostly wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Just wanted to encourage you in that way 🧡also, most of the hospital staff at my hospital didn’t care at all about covid anymore and so depending on your delivery team, they might let it slide if you’re really struggling.
your dress in the beginning is so cute! i was like oh wonder where she got it and it’s a dress i already have in my shein cart 🤣
Congratulations on your baby girl and Rowan is cute
I wore a mask during labour including pushing. It was technically required but I know my midwives were more than willing to let me take it off if I needed. However, I found it almost helped with controlling my breathing. Pretty sure I would have been panting a lot more and having a much harder time without it. Almost like breathing into a paper bag when you're having a panic attack. Sounds weird, but it seemed to work.
Hey mama , I had to wear a mask the entire time during labor and delivery and postpartum while in the hospital giving birth to my daughter in 2020 (even though my test came back negative) . It is hard, It was one of the reasons I ended up getting an epidural because I couldn’t properly breathe through my contractions while the nurses were in the room , which is most of the time. However during pushing I almost forgot it was there because I was so focused on pushing. The rules change so often at the hospital so ask when you’re admitted if the rules have changed yet! You got this!
So you literally just pull out the bag and pour the contents out into the crockpot?! I need to try this! I’m pregnant and due in December
Can you provide the link for the shades? I checked your storefront but don’t see them posted :(
That’s kind of ridiculous the masking policy, I live in Canada and had my baby at the end of 2020 and I wore a mask up to maternity and I was dying! I asked if I could remove my mask once I got into the delivery room and they said absolutely my husband didn’t even have to wear a mask, hopefully that has changed since you filmed 🤞🏻
Hey girl!
Loved this vlog! All your videos are so beautifully edited!
I’m so sorry about the mask policy:( my hospital was the same way when I gave birth to my son, however did not enforce it and I simply wore it on my chin the whole time as I explained I felt like passing out with it on ❤️
Much love to you and your sweet family xoxo
OMG I think I have watched Rowan say Blueberry about 10 times. It is way too cute 🥰
What brand r the bottles?!
I have been watching your videos since your first pregnancy because I was also pregnant and my baby boy is just a few months younger but I had to wear a mask while giving birth and it was kind of a struggle. Once I was in the recovery room though I was allowed to not wear it as long as there were no other nurses or doctors in the room.
I could not imagine wearing a mask while laboring! My labor was 16 hrs, in January unmedicated, and after testing negative it was my choice whether I still wanted to wear it (I am a big mask supporter too, but couldn't do it). I would have really struggled. Maybe the policy will be different in a couple of weeks? These things are always changing. Or maybe you'll have a quick labor and it won't be so bad :)
💝
I had to wear a mask my first labor. I literally threw up in my mask and they got me new one. I needed oxygen too at parts and they wanted me to put the mask back on after. This was May 2020 but it’s definitely a challenge. When the nurse and doctors were not in the room I did not have it on. I’m sorry you have to wear a mask. You will kick butt though!!!
Anyone know the brand of Rowan’s highchair/ booster seat??
They sell it at target online I believe. Don’t remember the actual name
I think that's actually the OXO one. You can get it on Amazon. I just looked it up because I was curious too.
I added it to Megan’s Amazon storefront in the baby items category!
They *probably* won’t enforce that mask policy if your rapid comes back negative. I delivered during height of Omicron and everywhere were signs saying “mask on at all times while provider in room.” Came into L&D at 10 cm and still got a rapid on admit and I remember keeping my mask on for awhile (mostly because I was in full-blown labor and couldn’t think about anything else) but it definitely came off at some point and no one said a word, likely because the rapid was negative. At the same time I will say that I did not notice it being on while it was because I was too distracted by labor so it wasn’t as bad as it sounds!
I had to wear a mask during labour, I don’t even remember wearing it 🤣 just know I had it on because of a picture my husband took!
I had to wear a mask when I was pushing and still am mad at myself for letting them do that to me. It was horrible. I pushed for 2 hours too.
Where’s Rowan’s booster seat from ? :)
I added it to Megan’s Amazon storefront! It’s in the baby items category.
I had my baby almost 1.5 years ago, and my hospital had the same policy. I was tested but still had to wear a mask whenever staff entered the room. But for pushing, “it fell off” and no one said anything to me or probably noticed because they were too focused on the baby coming.
How far along are you
I’d say if you test negative, you do what you need to do to breathe comfortably during labor, especially pushing. I’m all for masks too but that’s a bit much asking laboring mothers who test negative to wear one, yikes!!
I’m so glad my hospital isn’t that ridiculous! If they’re testing their patients why the heck does it matter at this point 🙄
Yeah the mask policy is ridiculous. I refused to wear a mask entering the hospital and during my entire labor. No one forced me to wear one. They can’t force you to wear one. And they have to admit you when you show up in labor
That’s absolutely terrible that you need to wear a mask during labor and birth. It makes no sense, especially when they’re testing you anyways. What’s the point? Is COVID even an issue in your area?
I wore a mask only if a nurse/doctor came into the room and that was Only because there was a mother who tested positive. But I did not wear one while pushing. I don’t think the nurses will enforce that.
I had to wear a mask during labor. While I was pushing it fell off my nose and nobody said anything. I don't think they will get mad at a laboring mother if you struggle with the mask.
They said I had to wear a mask the whole time during pushing also… but as soon as I mentioned I felt like I may be sick and vomit they let me take it off and keep it off!! (This was Feb 2021). Hope you are able to keep it off also because that is such an unfair rule. I work in longterm care and of course we would never make our patients wear masks... I feel like this should be an expected risk elsewhere in healthcare too.
The mask thing is ridiculous. I say fight it or labor as much at home before going in. I couldn't imagine that helping especially if your being tested before. What's the point? Good luck but I pray you don't really have to do that.
Ok let me put it this way: they will not throw you out into the street if you're in labor and you take off your mask. I promise your labor team will not care. It will be ok.
I understand the partner having to wear a mask, but while you’re pushing?! That’s ridiculous. I’m sorry Megan 😞
Maybe I can wear her mask for her? If I just wear two does that count? 🤔
I couldn't imagine wearing a mask whilst I was in labour I needed to focus on my breathing and a mask would have made that a lot harder for me. I think it's ridiculous that you can test negative and still have to wear a mask I don't understand that policy :( x
I don't understand why with all the advances with vaccinations and the required testing of all moms they would you have labor with a mask? I think that is so terrible. Praying for it to be not to hard for you!
