I hope that humans top trying to insulate themselves from neighbors for sect value reasons, and all strive their best to achieve inclusive, non racial advancement for humanity. I know that asian cultures religions would never insulate themselve for 2000 years from a host nation, which is healthy for society overall when there are no racial divisions like apples and oranges confusing the human psyche. When I was in high school, in the 1960s, we were taught very little about the concentration death camps. In 1967 I read my first book, "Auschwitz". I still have that book and it is tame compared to the stories or books written by survivors. For the past 50+ years I have continued reading about the camps and it's survivors. So many of the survivors have gone on to lecturing about what happened to them. I'm not Jewish, but I still cry for them, and now (2023) they are still being persecuted. History is still repeating itself. Please God, let them finally get to live in peace. Amen.

Additionally, the evidence of Jesus might well be determined from how this all ended, with the Allied Powers winning the war and the Axis losing. Further evidence can be inferred from the fact that the Jewish people survived, and had a restored nation later. There's a lot of evil in this world (inevitable really, with freewill) but the God of good is going to win, in the end, whatever happens along the way.

I wish we could have heard every story he had to tell, if it took days, weeks, months, however long. I feel that the stories that were never told about this ghastly epoch will be missing from the world's records and every bit of it is important.
There has never been anything so evil in history as this. There were wars and genocides where more people were killed but nothing has risen to the level of organized brutality as this to my knowledge. That is why Hitler is the most hated human of all time. Thank God for the allies and the bravery of people like Thomas who put a stop to it.
I feel like I learned something more about human nature today. I pray for every soul who was touched or brutalized by this unimaginable wickedness. May we truly assure that something like this will never again happen by human hands, and may we as a people eliminate all brutally towards ourselves and every other living creature, every thing living has the spark of God within it and deserves a hallowed respect, and without that we can never ascend to what we all were created to be. 🙏

The interviewer should not of asked him but you left them too abandoned the others. He had a great response i was a kid i was not a leader . He was right he was a child. where did her question come from? And why would she ask that. Amazing story glad he Survived wish all of them had.

I don't like the interviewer's tone of voice at times, particularly at 2:21:51. It sounds like she is passing judgement and you can see that he felt as though he had to defend himself. Her role in this type of interview should be neutral and non-leading.

It was upsetting to me when the interviewer raised her voice & sound accusatory at 2:22. Thankfully, that tone vanished as Mr. Toivi pointed out he was just a kid, not a leader. (She hadn't understood that another young escapee's legs having been broken by two of the other escapees, to prevent him from dragging them down, was "ugly.") Running for one's life is not ugly!

Toivi is a true genius! Thank goodness he instantly played dead after he was shot . I so very much wonder if he ever saw that farmer again, it would've been a hilarious & gratifying encounter to watch that greedy farmer faint! Also wonder if he ever saw his former schoolmate, Janek Knopzcek again, that guy was no good! Toivi is the famous one!

The guard who asked for money so he could give them some good advice, that being to hang themselves, since they 'were going to die anyway', deserves a special place in Hell. Not that there is such a place, unless it would have existed in all the death camps in WWll.

A thought…each one of these born, blood of Jehovahs Jewish children have their own story. Each and every one of them have a different story from the next but sadly, the ending of their stories end in death. Death either from a family member, a child, a mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, nieces and nephew or friend. The ones who survived this horrific crime I’m sure have never had a nights sleep where they don’t have a thought of complete sadness!
Lord above, I know now in this year 2023 there are very few of these beautiful people left…just surrounded them with your love and keep them as I’m sure they will feel you and hear you with open arms! ❤

I am very sad that this has happened in history but what I don't like is that Germany has to take all the blame when in fact many countries joined in and didn't refuse that genocide. Nobody talks about that. Why did they not stand up?

I’ve seen a few interviews with Thomas Blatt, what strength and dignity that man has. The story of the holocaust should be compulsory in our schools, just to show our young children what human beings in this crazy world are capable of.
