That was good. Glad your wife and mom got to ride in the car. Glad your dad got to ride in the truck. My Wife and me have been to the I-64 track several times. We have taken some of our grandkids there too. We hate that it is closed down. It's only bout 30 -40 minutes from us. Thank you for the videos
🤣🤣🤣 Awesome the feeling can't be explained. I don't ride roller-coasters, but I drag race lol. Everytime somebody ask how does it feel I can't answer it lol
@@MountainStateRacing I’m about to be in the same boat. Gutted the front half of the duster and put a tubular k-member and a-arms in. All new suspension up front and about 150 lbs off the nose. With ladder bars. This is gonna get interesting. Haha. Strong running Vega brother. Looking forward to seeing more of it.
One of the last times I ran up there I brought my Fox Body that I’d just swapped to a glide from a C6. Well I busted the case on the glide in open time runs so I loaded my car unhooked my Truck. Entered street class and took first place in my truck 😂. That was a fun day
i like the videos, you need to put preload in the left rear shock to help it go straight. also check the wheelie bars, they will steer the car when you're on them. and stop steering the wheel before the launch, it affects reaction time.
Ear plugs, Ear plugs, EAR PLUGS! Hetzler Racings comments...spot on,.especially about hearing your cars performance. I Love your videos. Keep fighting the Good fight... Oh, did I mention ear plugs? ; )
A couple of suggestions; ear plugs! You need to wear ear plugs so you can still hear when you're 50. Plus it actually helps you hear what the motor is doing better as it muffles a lot of the extra noises. Second, work on the rear suspension to make it go straight. You are having to drive that thing way too much. There were a couple of passes where it looked like you turned the wheel before the car ever left the line. If the car will go straight it will help maximize the consistency, and as you have found out, every little bit helps. I really enjoy your videos, and I especially liked the ride along footage.
@@MountainStateRacing our car making a hard right when it leaves sometimes it will go straight sometimes it we yet able to turn it loose cause we don't know what it's going to do
Awesome video. I loved the ride alongs. That makes me want to put a second seat on mine lol. My advice to you is to dial your car honest. That will give you one less thing to worry about during a race. And you can still judge the stripe because of you know you can run a 48 and you’re still getting there first the other guy was late or is running off. That would let you just concentrate on getting a good light. Also man put some weight on the passenger side so your car ain’t leaving so radical. That’s affecting everything too from you light to your et!
Mom's been bout that life 🤣🤣😤💪
Your car gets it, and it looks pretty darn nice as well. I like it. Thanks 4 the video.
Thanks! It’s no show car but it gets the job done

Good job!!! (Don't forget to remind dad what the chin strap on a helmet is for... LOL)
You know how old guys are. They don’t listen to anything lol.
@@MountainStateRacing
LMAO... Since I _AM_ one of those 'old guys', I kinda know what ya mean!!!
Your mom's pass was so cool,I thought she'd look at the tree for the reaction time, great family fun,Thanks for sharing, keep em coming
Yeah she doesn’t know much about drag racing so I don’t think she knew to look at the tree lol
I actually enjoyed this more than Clay Millican's videos
Awesome! That’s what we’re aiming for! I’ll have to check him out.
Little bit of pre load on the right rear would be night and day if the passengers are making it drive straight
It has some pre-load in it now. New tires, new shocks, new front springs. We’ve done quite a few upgrades this winter.
