      @@toddgoza3522I didn't forget. Black America owes an apology to both Tavis Smiley and Cornell West for how we roasted, lambasted, and silenced their voices during the Obama campaign and prior to his inauguration. Only until the middle of Trumps first term did we start to question Obama's policies and why he made up excuses as to not doing for the black community.

The part that really hit me was "black men voting... the cheapness", non sincere just wanting our vote and doing nothing for it or our people. I agree with Sway on hearing wisdom from older people. I’m grateful I grew up hearing wisdom from my Mom and Granny. We have to be careful about speaking on spiritual matters… only JESUS gets the credit for gifts, NOT the universe aligning. Also, if you are not giving God the credit, there’s only the devil left. He has power too, just not as powerful as the Lord’s!

      Well TBF it's not about what we deserve, it's politcal lip service for votes....its all political fodder to which ironically does not serve the black male interests at large. That's why the convo's FEEL inauthentic. Obama was pretty clear about not being the president of Black America, against reparations, and although spoke out on Trayvon Martin could not slow the tides of the police violence/incidents that happened after his term in office. Black businesses esp took a hit during and after Covid 19. Basically BENIGN NEGLECT 2.0 for at least 20-25 years. Were politically tolerated for VOTES on the next election cycle. Gaps have gotten even WORST and whole hoods are being gentrified and their is talk that black milennials at least economically could be worst off then our parents generation in spite of the gains of the civil rights era SMH!!!!

    5 WHY Root Cause Analysis: The method is remarkably simple: when a problem occurs, you drill down to its root cause by asking "Why?" five times. Then, when a counter-measure becomes apparent, you follow it through to prevent the issue from recurring.

    • @jlilly7913
      @jlilly7913 17 дней назад

      @sistahb5159 We are dealing with a duopoly. The differences between the Dems and GOP are cosmetic. The 60+ years you're talking about was preceded by Black folks voting Republican for 90+ years. The Republicans abandoned us first during the Compromise of 1876 (which resulted in the terrization and death of Black people for 40 years). Then the GOP did it again during the "Lily White Movement" of the early 1900s. And the GOP's final betrayal was during the "Southern Strategy" of the 1960s when the Dixiecrats became Republicans. The Democrats' betrayal of Black people is just as extensive. The solution is for us to organize our money and apply Georgist economic principles. It's about increasing what economists call "the velocity of money" in Black communities. I encourage you to sudy Fred Foldvary, Mason Gaffney, and Henry George along with all the Black master freedom fighters. The duopoly will not save us.
