As a fixed wing IFR pilot, dual autopilot means one pilot channel & one copilot channel. Understand what helicopter 4-axis AP is. What does Airbus mean by dual-duplex 4-axis AP i.e whar does the duplex refer to? Duplex electrical bus? Thanks.
I thought the H145 has more power than its predecessors. When putting the engines still come in the yellow area and need 73% power. Clear weather and weight still plays a significant factor. But nice video and beautiful helicopter.
Yeah IDK, the EC145 has been used for decades in high altitude SAR by french mountain crews, ain't nobody ever complained about power. But yeah seems a bit off putting to see it go in the yellow range for a set down.
First he touches the instrument panel light and changes it from DAY to NIGHT. if you look at the 3 main MFDs you will see they dim when the pilot does this. Next he almost touches a switch which can be for either seat belts or no-smoking signs. He doesn't move it though. Next he changes the pax/cargo light switch from OFF to PAX.
newspilot02 not necessarily, because the 429 was designed specifically for ems work. The pilot’s love the smoothness especially for patients. And vip’s love it for the same reason. It’s mostly because of the rotor head which is spherical while other helicopters use a rigid rotor head which creates too much vibration especially when turning.
We have an H145 and demoed a 429 before that. With full fuel the 429 o ly has 500 useful load. It's a turd in the wind! We can still get full fuel and 5 people in our H145.
Are going by numbers posted by Bell on the internet or an actual 429 and it’s WB? The one we had demoed was 500# useful. Not saying you’re wrong just my experience was not what you are saying or what Bell claimed. But to be fair Airbus thinks way too highly of their product and are excessively overpriced.
Probably the most beautiful helicopter ever made..
Damn, nice avionics! Love the fuel quantity indicator on the EICAS.
You just have to love Airbus
This helo seems to have a much lower HUD panel than others in it's category, giving it excellent visibility to it's pilots!
What a beautiful ship! Im my Com/CFI right now, this is the dream!
Ahart4Navy The dream won't help you. Make it reality.
how to make it reality without 100.000 euro?

That is some really nice footage from the cockpit. What camera was used for that?
I was last at Virginia Airport some 50 years ago!

At about 2:08 the damn thing goes nose up then 90degrees left bank wow.
What did you do with those upper switches at the 1:40?

What is the registration of this aircraft?
RIP Kobe.we will never forget

Nice helicopter but the bell 429 is quieter and a whole lot smoother
May be true but the 429 is a dog! The 145 blows its Doors off in performance.

The bell 429 usefull load is 2755lbs . Full fuel is 1371lbs making useful load after full fuel 1384lbs not 500lbs

epaulets... seriously douscher?
Cole Deines A requirement in certain countries. Private or commercial.
This is an offshore aircraft. Uniforms with epaulettes are standard. It’s about professionalism - clearly, you don’t understand the concept!
