Morrie, thank you so much for all of the amazing videos you produce. I just got my PSR-E463 yesterday, and today, thanks to you instructions, I made a new Pipe Organ voice. I can't believe how beautiful it sounds! You are a truly wonderful human being to share your talent with everyone on here. THANK YOU!
Thank you Morrie! It is so strange, because I started watching this video yesterday and watched the last part today, and you mention for the listener to imagine he/she is in the Notre Dame Cathedral. Strange, because your record this video for three years ago, and I watched it yesterday ... the same day Notre Dame was re-opened for public after the terrible fire for some years ago. I will do as you told, I will setup my keyboard in the same way and listen on it with my headphones. Thank you for describing the setup in detail !!
Amazing! My headphones are not among the top 10..but they are not the cheapest either. They are of sufficient quality for me to hear this magical sound of a real church organ. Thank you so much!
This man is really adorable. He is a Gem and he must get plenty of likes. I have this keyboard since last 4 years and today I have learnt so much. We can now go on with Dual voice's settings and enjoy playing. Thanks brother and God bless you. Please do share some more hidden secrets.
When you hit the first few notes, my eyes nearly fell out. I have often wondered how to make certain instruments sound better on this keyboard, never knew how. Thank you for this and all other videos you have produced - they have inspired me to learn more about the little keyboard with a big voice.
Thank you very much Morrie, I decided to quit practicing because I don't know most of the functions. However, your videos inspired me and now quitting is out of my mind. You are a great teacher
Thank you so much for this amazing experience you shared here. I've learnt a lot from it. I hope to try it out and see how to come up with a wonderful voice. May God bless you abundantly.
You are a genius sir. The best teacher on you tube. Am going to watch all your videos. I have a ps463. Always wanted to download backing tracks. Am going to do it the way you taught . thank you bee much sir
Great maturity in handing different settings in order to achieve pipe organ.. Appreciating sir. Competing with young generation...you are awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍
Great video and tutorial.!! Your tutorial was geared for the PSR E463, however, your methodology (attack, pan, chorus, volume, etc) can be used on most any keyboard with options to modify settings (and most decent ones will have these). I have a Yamaha Clavinova and can easily ‘dial’ in these settings (ok, I don’t have a dial…..). Great lesson.
Morrie- Thanks so much for your videos! This one is great! I just bought a Yamaha PSR E473- which is slightly different from the E463 but I still have learned a lot! I am glad I found this video on how to set the voices properly- It sounds so nice! I like to play brass a lot and I want to play around with the settings like you did here to see if I can get a better sound. You have a new subscriber here! BTW I watched other videos you did on recording and sending a MIDI file to a USB flash drive- Really good videos. I did a test mutlitrack song and saved it as a SMF on my flash drive and uploaded it to my Garritan Aria VST and it sounds really great! You just drag and drop the MIDI file onto Aria and then set the sounds for each track and play it. Aria has wonderful sounds I bought Garritan ARia player VST that has such really nice realistic sound samples. I do a lot of Classical types of songs. I also have a keyboard controller but this Yamaha keyboard is so much nicer! Thanks again for your videos! Will be watching more!
Gratuluję i dziekuję.
Thank you Morrie! This video was very helpful. I have "liked" and "subscribed" on your RUclips channel, and will watch your other videos. You are a good calm step-by-step teacher. I just bought a nice inexpensive Yamaha PSR-EW310 keyboard, and I mostly play grand piano and full-on pipe cathedral church organ, so thank you for showing us the best organ settings. As for using headphones, since RUclips is still somewhat limited in conveying great sound quality, I am still quite happy just using very inexpensive sets of headphones, such as SONY and Behringer. Sincere thanks, - Matt, Mendocino, California.
Thanks so much. I Plan to buy a e463 but I have heard that Yamaha is going to release the 473 soon so I am holding out. Your video is so detailed and concise unlike so many others. Thanks once again.
I mixed up the D.Voice and M.Voice settings but got the general idea and the difference in sound is quite dramatic. I listened to your video with my tablet plugged into the keyboard. The sound of your keyboard through my keyboard speakers was comparable... Guess I'm a geek 'cause I like playing around with attack and release.
Thanks so much for sharing this video. You are just talented. My issue is the same as yours. Favorite instrument is pipe organ but now way to build one. Now I am inspired by your video. May god bless you.
Joseph, your EW 410 is certainly a better keyboard than my little E463. I've had seven synthesizers, Kurzweil, Roland and Yamaha, that I've bought over the last 33 years, all costing between $2,500 and $6,000 so I consider my little $300 E463 a beginners keyboard in terms of capabilities and cost. I recognize that $300 is a lot of money from many people around the world, and when I was a young boy my parents could not have afforded to pay that much for a musical instrument. My Grandmother paid $50 for my first used piano back in 1951, and I was thrilled to have it. She also bought me a $15 Gene Autry guitar from Sears Roebuck.
@@morriereece5007 I thought $1000 was more than I should pay for a keyboard based on my skill level and practice habits. In hindsight, a year, $700, and three keyboards later I should have gotten an entry level pro model. Guess it all comes down to opportunity cost: DGX 670 or new tires, upright piano or new car, Steinberg grand or new house.
Thank you so much for the vid. It has helped me work on a few idea's. I am trying to put together the sound of the pedal steel guitar. Not much luck so far.
Morrie you have done a very extensive study and experience regarding pipe organ as well as the Yamaha Psr E463. Thanks for your patient, srep by step guidence. My small doubt. We changed many parameters in the function categories. Whether this changes apply only to Pipe organ settings or other voices also? I am an elderly in 66 years, bought PSR E463 a year ago and not used much of these settings. Now I gain the confidence of making creativity. May God bless you.
Awesome! I have the PSRe 473 and some of the settings are slightly different but overall, I was able to figure this out and follow along! That does sound better than the default PipeOrgan sound! Also, thanks for your service!
Loved this video and the sound did indeed sound better though I imagine you really have to be in the room rather than a couple of rubbish computer speakers. I must say there was so much build up to the newly created voice that a little part of me was half expecting Morrie's hair to be blown off when he played it 😀
Scott, I have so little hair left I can't afford to loose any more....yes....there was a considerable build-up. Like the sales saying goes, "when selling bacon....sell the sizzle !!
I'm using a custom built gaming computer with a Focusrite scarlett 2i2 interface with samson sr990 studio headphones that run $100 dollars at Sam Ash. That sounded like a real pipe organ to me.
