Basically added a two way player that wins draws is hard to play against and chips in offensively. He isn’t as good but plays like Bergy . He fits in with Marchand and Pasta

There will never be another Bergie and I'm not saying he's Bergeron. But this guy has a similar game in a lot of ways. The Bruins' most successful seasons in the last 15 years came with three centers slotted in the right place. Coyle CAN play center on your first line and do a good job, but when he's your 3C the other team is in deep trouble. So maybe he's a 2C this season, but that won't win a Cup. If somehow Poitras or Freddie develop, or they acquire a real 2C in an in-season hockey trade, now we're talking. Lindholm will not being a Cup by himself, but without him as the first step, there's no chance. Still need another 2C and 1/2RW to develop or be acquired.

To me after watching Florida win the Stanley Cup the Bruins were by far the second best team in the league. This will make them better.

I will be stunned if this doesn’t end up like another Backes, absolute albatross of a contract and he hasn’t even suited up yet

He is very solid and a great signing exactly the player Boston needs

For almost $8M for 7 years as a dude who barely put up half a point per game last season? No thanks

The contract is a separate issue. Will he be a good player or not? Then is he worth the money or not? He can be a good player and be overpaid.
