22:00 another thing about your take here is that Ramse didn’t realize that Cole was still alive and experiencing the sabotage he inflicted (through being an informant to the 12 Monkeys). I think it was Ramse’s way of apologizing.
I think Cassie’s actions can be annoying, but just to play a devil’s advocate, perhaps our frustration with her actions is a reflection of her own frustration with this whole situation. Is it possible that she’s so frustrated with the fact that nothing is changing and that she’s scared of a plagued future that she thought “having morals isn’t working, because these people (the 12 Monkeys) aren’t playing fair, so why would I play fair and allow them to win?!” Again, just playing devil’s advocate 😅
Oh for sure, I understand her frustration and I get that the 12 Monkeys aren't playing fair. I just wish she hadn't acted with such impulsivity...but I get your devilish advocating lol ;) Fair point.
I feel like you're going to be really frustrated with some decisions in s2 based on this lol. I will say that Cassie is chaotic but really understandable to me. She has been all alone (with Cole blipping in and out at random) for years now trying to stop the plague and she's failed and doesn't really understand what it will take to actually stop this thing--no one does. She doesn't even have a future, she knows she's going to die soon. Cole is the one who is willing to do ANYTHING to stop the plague, including killing Henri. He says in the night room ep: "you wouldn't want to become like me." Her: "no." So, when it comes down to it, Cole is a bit hypocritical here. He's willing to let not one, but two people she cares about die to stop the plague, but tries to stop her from killing someone HE cares about. In a way, they are both starting to affect the way each other thinks... She's getting infected with his mindset and he's getting infected with hers (for good or ill). She's sort of an ever evolving character, but in a way I like, I guess (though you aren't alone since a LOT of people really hated Cassie's arc and gave her tons of shit for it, I just personally thought it made a lot of sense and liked it). There's some writing foreshadowing and parallels with her character arcs that I appreciate as well. Either way, great reaction! Sorry you lost your footage, though! :(
I go into that a bit, but I liked this season very much--I do think there is room for improvement pacing and character-wise but I think overall this was a very good start to the series.

I think so too :)
I like that you noticed the connection between the episode’s title and the song in the show.
Thank you!
