Wow the lesson was so easy thank you! And the examples: I wanted to learn English but I have given up and watched TV I so wanted to go to the shoes shop in order to buy me but I gave in to my friends and I went to the mall.
Thanks Tatiana! Love the encouragement and positive vibes from you. Here's a little correction...it should be "Don't give up studying". When you use give up, you need to use the gerund (verb+ing) afterwards. For example, "I gave up playing tennis." "I couldn't give up drinking coffee."
You're welcome. :) I'm happy to help as many people as I can with my videos. If you have English topics or questions you would like me to answer, just let me know!
@@lace.english Thank you for your reply! I have two little brothers who need help in English language. I can give you a complete plan about topics they want to learn about. Would you be interested in teaching them online ? Of course, it won't be free. Let me know if you are interested so that we can discuss more about the price :)
@@MrAbdul-hs6hz Thanks for the idea. My private classes are fully booked at the moment, but I do have a great teacher who works for me who teaches children. If you're interested, just let me know.
2:54 My two examples: Me: "Please Lace don't *give up* keep uploading your videos", "Please Lace don't give up keep uploading your videos", "Please Lace don't give up keep uploading your videos", "Please Lace don't give up keep uploading your videos". You: "After Antaro pushed me a lot for uploading new videos... I'll do it. Yes, I *give in* ". 😁👍 Cheers!
Hi Lacy !! "After her third attempt Mrs Wilson STOPPED trying to take a driving test". Is it right "GAVE UP trying ...etc..."? I would choose GAVE UP because in this sentence it reminds me she 's stopping an activity/doing sth. I associate "to give up" to something that implies an activity/doing sth.
@@alexandralaurent5569 I understand. "To" is very tricky! Let me know if you have specific questions or problems with it and maybe I can make a video about it!
