Mariah read my sign! So here’s a little story: I am from Miami and flew out to NYC to see her front row. Mariah and Ariana are my top artists with the most listening for the past ten years.. And so I realized Ariana had been liking Mariah’s posts on instagram for about 10 days ahead of the show and suspected Mariah would be performing with Ariana and maybe JHud..
So anyway I know Mimi sometimes does impromptu moments and sings songs like “Miss You Most” or “The Roof” in detroit so I decided to ask her if she could sing “Forever” as the impromptu moment.
Right before the show I went to a vinyl shop in Radio City and bought a “Forever” vinyl in hopes that maybe she would get to sign it. And then went to Michaels to buy a sharpie and materials to make the poster. The poster was small so I made the sign say “FOREVER IMPROMPTU?” because I wanted her to do “Forever” as the impromptu moment..
She read the sign multiple times throughout the night and acknowledged it in this moment in the video, used to introduce Ariana and JHud!!!
I still cannot believe that
1.) Mariah read my poster and asked me a question
2.) Mariah used my poster to introduce JHud and Ariana
3.) Mariah and Ariana’s first and only time performing live!!
I also got a selfie with JHud RIGHT after they sang together!

JHud is a stable and gifted vocalist, but prime Whitney and prime Mariah can outsing her by many criteria, even volume and not to mention that her vocal tone and colour is not as ear-pleasing as Whitney's or Mariah's. Not a hate, I like JHud, but dont disrespect the Greats pls:)

If it was Mariah from 1994 she would outpower anyone, cuz she could sound girly, light and at times when she wants also dark, powerful and resonant (check If its over live, You need me, Theres got to be a way, anytime u need a friend etc.) Mariah here didnt even try to sing properly (I think its because of her bipolar episodes). I disagree I think current Mariah cannot match jhud power. Primeriah could. Which is precisely why she hand picked jhud - she encapsulates Mariah’s dramatic powerful vocals while ari showcases the soft, dynamic, silky vocals Mariah is also known for. Combine both queens and you get the song bird supreme it’s not rocket science

But it’s stylistic on her part, as we know she can belt with more power. She also hasn’t been touring or performing consistently. J huds volume would be even more impressive if this was a solo taping that focus on her specifically, and if it was Ariana solo the beauty in her unique riffs , sweet tone and seamless transitions would shine more.

If I put for example my tv on and starts singing karaoke most of the time it almost only records sounds from my tv than my singing voice. This has zero to do with lowering the mic. In this case Jennifer has the loudest voice, then Mariah and then Ari. So automatically she won’t be heard as good in a recording from a cellphone

I'd been a faithful fan of Mariah Carey for more than over two decades, had literally watched & listened to her vocal development of unique, wide vocal range talent over the past three decades.
Honestly, it's utterly deterioration of vocal talent, I mean she'd practically lost all her soulful voice where she usually could reach those high notes/pitch with controlled vocal stability in the past.
Now, she don't even dare to sing that high notes & can't even display a strong octave range of whistle note.
Now, I believe that even how talented singers were, they'll lost their vocal abilities once the age caught up with them as they grew older & MC is a good example of that.
The lost of MC unique quality vocal range could be due to her overweight & age unlike Whitney's drug involved case.
Though I'm still MC super fan,
but in reality you can't lie about
her deteriorating vocal quality because I'd truly knew MC at/
during the peak of her music career.
