This game is phenomenal man, but I think everyone who plays this game should atleast have an idea of who Wukong is so I will try to briefly explain the lore I know for anyone whos wants to know. Sun Wukong comes from a novel named Journey to the West, a 16th century novel that contains mythology, and folktales. The main character of the book is a monk named Tang Sanzang and he was tasked to retrieve Buddhist scriptures from India. He and 3 others, Sun Wukong, Bai Loong Ma, also known as The White Dragon Horse, Zhu Bajie or Pigsy, and Sha Wujing. On their journey the have to go through 81 challenges in order to reach Buddha, and they must fight many forms of creatures and yaoguais (demons) aswell. More importantly, Sun Wukong is the strongest among them, he was born from a rock and is incredibly strong, fast and could transform into 72 beings and animals, he also has a staff that can become as big or as small as he wants, he is mischievous and pursues freedom and was able to achieve immortality 6 times over but he was such a nuisance to the gods that they despised him, so he was tricked into working for Tang Sanzang by the gods, via a headband. On his own journey, he fights Erlang, the God of War and an army of 100,000 warriors, but he loses, like in the game. The main character in this game may be a reincarnation of Sun Wukong himself, or a loyal follower, looking for his 6 relics to resurrect him.

The "Sun" in Sun WuKong is the surname, just like "Lee" is the surname of Bruce Lee. In a simpler term, Sun WuKong means WuKong of the clan Sun.

And you can’t pat the dog - that is the Heaven-Devouring Dog (Siao-Tien Chuan) - many Merits and Yao Guai were torn apart by it

Rock solid is a parry. And if you invest into it and make a rock solid build it recharges extremely fast if youre good with it.
