Vlad they make a paint scanning laser that can provide color and I believe formulas. Something like that would be a great tool for you guys, rather than shooting small panels and taping them to the car. Then using your Mark-1 eyeball to see if it matches. They did that with my 911 Turbo rear bumper after a similar incident to your Ferrari here and the color is clearly different when you look at it in full sun. It’s very frustrating when you have a $125k Porsche 911 and the paint on the rear bumper is clearly mismatched. This must be a challenge for you guys all the time. It’s definitely an art when I see what a great job you do on all these cars. Well done.
We had to use that paint scanner couple time if we can’t match the paint we usually call PPG we have a account with them and they usually come out and scan the car for us.
This car has been repaired before. Notice the color continues onto the p/s rear bumper attachment point at 7:12, but not the d/s. That’s not a mistake the factory would make.

@@lnccollision I saw that back on the Rolls Royce I think it had unique bespoke paint. That car turned out great. Must have been a dream to drive.

Why do you not just use the factory paint code to get the correct colour? Or are they not very accurate when the paint has aged?
The color coat the vehicle comes with is completely off on all makes usually you always have to do a little tweak to it.
