South Korea civil service continues to support the running of the country based on s.o.p in place whenever there is change. SKorea changes ruling parties frequently and its still one of the advanced economies in the world. Change is inevitable because the leaders elected are never a saint or flawless or has no character or integrity flaw because election is electing people you never met, never spoken to and never understood in-person to know what kibd of a man he really really is like his wife knows what color is his underwear and what style he prefers . Pun intended.🤭
So voters need to understand this or else things will forever remain status quo

I dont think that people are aware that when South Korea goes into Martial Law or in times of war, their military automatically goes to a U.S General.

Why singaporeans FEAR speaking up has to do with why the perceived Lack of democracy spirit.
Democracy CAN OnLY be effected by the People themselves. So if the people themselves lack courage to afford democracy, they have only what they can afford which is a lack of democracy. Which leader in the world , given a magic wand, wants and hopes the people vote him out? Tell me. Do you know why democracy can only be effected by the people themselves and this requires courage? Courage is very important when defending a country from invaders. Imagine a country where soldiers say "aiya, surrender is bo bian one. Got food to eat, job to do cans alreadys. What for die?"

The enabler and empowerment of power is the majority. So they are the key issue

Here is the fate of Skorea if :
    1. There were no or only has a few Opposition parliament seats : a SKorea under dictatorship.
    Do singaporeans want this too?
    2. SKore People FEAR to protest or vote against: today Skorea would have become a dictatorship.
    3. SKoreans say "Martial Law is Bo Bian one leh. Got food ro eat, job to do, cans alreadys. What for Politics? What for democracy? Jia Bah Boh Tsai Bhung?"
If SKoreans were like Singaporeans what is skorea after martial law announced? My politically correct answer is my answer is the same as yours😅

I asked AI which tells me the SG Constitution is a Publicly accessible document or information. I asked, does it provide for Martial Law. It says it does not have the same words but has similarly powerful provisions.
