@@jamesbowen8960 first off...its Minnesota. A school that isnt a football power to begin with. They are not part of any discussion about coaches for the Bucks. Thats a bad comparison
One recalls that joke Coach Wayne Woodrow (Woody) Hayes used to tell years ago : 'Every so often, the local Chamber Of Commerce or some group of OSU boosters would offer me a new auto. You know how that works. One year they buy you a new car. The next year, they buy you the gas to get out of town.' 🏉
I am an Ohio "lil bro" State fan and here in Columbus, there were many calls to fire Ryan Day after the Michigan and Missouri losses last year. The calls stopped after the "amazing offseason" that we had and we went into the season optomistic. Now, I think that we finally see the light and another "amazing offseason" will not fix it. Ryan Day will still be the head coach next year because Ohio State does not want to buy out that contract, but the fans will never be on Day's side again unless he actually proves that he can win a game against Michigan. Not even a championship will fix this.
As a Michigan fan, who understands the importance of the game, this game is the championship, and there are a lot of fans on both sides would accept losing easier then losing in this game. We will cry about losing, but losing this game is unacceptable on both sides.
You can't be serious! A national title wouldn't fix this? Yes, beating michigan is the biggest game of the year for most but give me the title every year if a loss to them meant winning the championship. Disclaimer..don't think he will but at least there is a chance.
6-13 vs top 10, 3-9 vs top 5, 1-4 vs Michigan, and 1-3 in playoffs. Its not just Michigan, he cant when against top opponents. Keep him so Michigan keeps beating him... GO BLUE!
Mattbelubricatinghimselfwithbabyoil, I’ve been a fan ever since 2021 and It is hilarious to me that in that time, Ryan Day has managed to lose to Michigan every year. It really amazes me how he is still able to keep his job after 4 straight losses in a series in which before Day was HC, they dominated. If you aren’t able to win big games especially against your rival, you shouldn’t be a head coach.
As a Ohio State fan I believe that the new OSU fans are soft and don’t understand how much beating Michigan means to Ohio State. I would rather beat Michigan than to make the playoffs that’s how much I care about the rivalry. But the new OSU fans only care about the playoffs sadly.
Have to disagree, that's not us being soft and I'm an old Ohio state fan myself, yes it sucked Ryan day didn't beat Michigan 4 times in a row but it's even worse he has not won a national championship. Lost to Clemson 2019, Georgia 2022 and Alabama 2020. Lost to Michigan in 2023 and if Ohio state beat them we would have probably won the national championship. Ohio State is supposed to be an elite team and program winning national championships and beating everybody else successfully. With all that talent we have on the field we have no excuses why we can't win out. With this opinion and perspective this is not us being soft at all. I would rather beat the best of the best and best sec teams or other elite teams in other conferences or Oregon to win the national championship than beating Michigan every year but never winning the national championship even though we should beat Michigan every year because of like I said the level of talent and the high expectations and standards Ohio State has.
We just dont give a fuck about a woody fued from when TV was black and white. National titles mean more than the rivalry game, Michigan has had 2 since the lates 40s and we have 2 in the past 20ish years. Michigan won a few in a row but we grew up in a time where Michigan was a bye week, they got a few now, good for them. Having said that, Day sucks and needs replaced.
@@Mike21yearsold I get it. If Ohio state does win a Natty this season I wouldn’t call it that much of a success since we haven’t beat Michigan. But that’s just how I look at it.

As a michigan state fan. I have no room to talk. But that was EMBARRASSING for osu. Michigan isn't great this year, and they still lost. If they lose in the playoffs, he needs to go. This has to be the worst loss for ohio state in some time. Ryan day can't beat great teams. He proves that every year. He can only beat bad to decent big ten teams. I have no idea how mel tucker has a better record vs michigan that Ryan day does.
I agree with everything you said about Ryan Day, and honestly, I wanted him gone two years ago. He’s not a bad coach; in fact, he’s a great quarterback developer. However, he plays it too safe. He doesn’t go for it on fourth down, doesn’t run trick plays, and rarely tries surprise onside kicks or any other creative plays. As a result, he tends to lose more often. He still hasn’t figured out the kicker position, either. Ohio State vs. Michigan is the best rivalry in college football, and the ratings speak for themselves.
As a Mizzou fan, I did appreciate Ohio State being a bunch of quitters last bowl game. But, go look at Mizzou during the 80s. I was just hitting teenager years when MIzzou fired a winning coach after a bad season and it took almost 15 years to recover to bowl eligible. Watch what you wish for, especially wanting to fire a 10 win coach.

Texas has won 4 championships ever and one in 55 years lol. They are not in the conversation especially with more losing seasons in 15 years than championship/playoffs or conference titles lol 😂
Ohio State has a president and an athletic director both in their first few months and I just don't think they're prepared yet to make a change at head coach however much they may want to. They're still settling in to their new responsibilities and a new culture. If I told you the modern era (Bowl Coalition to present) of The Game (1988-2024) saw Ohio State lead the series with a record of 18-16-1 you'd think it was a pretty balanced series, but it's not. It's pretty streaky. From 1988-2000 Michigan led 10-2-1. From 2001-2019 Ohio led 16-2. From 2021-2024 Michigan is 4-0. Harbaugh was 0-7 in The Game at one point and they stuck with him. Until Ohio State knows there's a better coach available and they can get him, they'll stick with Day.
Harbaugh coached Michigan from 2015-2023 and lost to Ohio state 5 times in a row and wasn’t fired. Just cause a school doesn’t fire the coach after loosing to a rival multiple years in a row doesn’t downplay its significance.
Michigan was in total shambles when Harbaugh came in.. Day had a silver platter in which he was handed so that has a little to do with it.. let’s face it..
I once asked a friend of mine if Bama lost to Auburn and still won a natty would he be happy. He said no. I kinda agree. The difference is that the fans live right next to each other. Not across state lines.
The thing is, I don’t blame a single player on that team. Will Howard had a bad game, he was put in so many bad situations from 3rd and longs to obviously having a concussion and Ryan not telling the kid to sit down. I don’t blame the kicker because we’ve had a bad kicker for years, and Ryan hasn’t made the effort to get the best kicker in the country when he was in our own backyard. Idc if Chip Kelly or if Ryan Day was calling plays even though it was alluded that it was Ryan. If it was Chip, you need to tell him to not run the ball right at their best two players. The defense played lights out, and it got to the offense and it straight froze up. I’ve been an OSU fan since I was a kid and this was the worst loss I could ever remember growing up. If we somehow win the natty with big game day, I’ll be happy, but there will be a bad taste in my mouth with 4 going on 5 years of losing to TTUN.
I could coach Ohio state better Ryan day is like giving the keys of a lambo to Helen Keller His offense is like eating bland chicken Also why didn’t Matt call Michigan lol bro when they had a 8 game losing streak I feel like Matt just hates fr
Yes! Ryan Day screwed up REALLY REALLY bad this past Saturday, but we must also consider that Ohio State was one really bad penalty call away from winning two National Titles under him.
I grew up with Ohio State dominance over Michigan… 4 in a row really hurts, and I understand my parent’s hatred for that team now, thanks to Ryan Day. I like Ryan Day, I have been defending Ryan Day for a while. But this year’s loss feels unacceptable. At home, with all those seniors coming back to WIN that game, for them to come back empty handed… I’m angry. However, give it to the end of the year… if we don’t win it all with this roster, I’ll finally be on the fire Day train.
MartybeGiggityGay If OSU does not make the national championship game, im be finally convinced Day should be send to the PeeWee league, 6 years of depression is far too long...
Harbaugh lost it 5 times in a row before he turned things around. Not saying Day is capable of that, but as a Michigan fan it is fair to point that out when you are saying a couch should be fired after losing it three times.
MatthiasBePlayinWithHimself has been telling you lil bro state fans forever that Ryan diddy isn’t the answer! But Maddie, they’ve already come out and said that Ryan day is their coach and won’t leave. This why Michigan beat lil bro state.
This video was an absolute 10000% percent spot on analysis of OSU. Been saying the same thing. Day=Richt. Good men, good coaches but they dont have "it". MattBeGreat aka MattbeRight.
“It’s been two days, why hasn’t he been fired” who we gonna put in charge? We’re probably stuck with him until the right coach is available. Until then, we get John Cooper Jr for a couple more years
UGA fan, if we falter I hope Alabama gets back in the playoffs and wins the whole thing for the SEC. I hate like hell to say this, but the playoff isn't the same without Bama. Because I absolutely don't trust Tennessee or Texas. But it would be funny to watch Tennessee and Texas running through all of these teams and playing each other for the Natty!
Matt, you need to talk about what’s going on with Nebraska with everything that happened today, 4 transfers of key players on defense, our DC heading to Florida state, and our DL coach possibly joining him. Please make a video bout this
Matt! First off I just wanted to say GREAT vids! I’ve been a member for about a year and a half! Anyways i was wondering have you ever thought about turning your vids into podcast episodes also? I listen all the time in the car from work, school, and practice I think this could expand your brand even more… just a thought.. God bless man 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Ohio State does the bare minimum. However when it comes to big time games, they underperform nearly every time and they make excuses as to why. It all starts with the Head Coach.
How can it not get worse? Ohio State is literally the only blue blood school who hasn't had an extended down period. You fire a guy who wins 10 games a year and it could completely backfire. Look what bad hires did for teams like Michigan and Nebraska.
Ryan Day is the coach that consistently does less with more. He's got the highest budget to work with, he's got a large market all to himself with no competition from pro teams or another major school and still he fails. Sure there is a lot of pressure from fans, because unlike most programs that compete for fans with pro sports or another school, OSU football is all they got.
Dude, my boy laughs hysterically at you saying lil bro State. He has his whole 3rd grade class calling Ohio State Lil Bro state.

This Ryan Day business is ridiculous. Thanks for the upload MattBeBackblower
Lil bro state makes me laugh every time 🤣🤣🤣
Day is the Georgia coach before Kirby. Could recruit would win 9 or 10 games a season, but couldn’t win when it counts!
Alabama doesn’t belong in there either
MattBeMyFave thanks for this!
As a Michigan alumni I hope you keep Ryan Day as he is an excellent coach and he is turning out to be a favorite of Ann Arbor.
Keep your heads up buckeye Nation, ryan and his team will play in this year's national championship game! Believe!!
😂😅🤣
Nah
He’s just lucky daddy Michigan isn’t there to whoop his ass again, OSU sorry ass shouldn’t be in the playoffs
Put the crack pipe down.
I want what you’re having, because I also need to lie to myself.
Ryan Day is like the Mark Richt of OSU except not as nice.
Anybody would take Ryan Day except top 10 teams 😅
Michigan owns this guy and the buckeyes. I love it. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
video starts at 2:28
what was thw point of this comment youre not at real fan if you dont watch from 0:00 to however long the video is
Sell all your Ohio state stock (if you had any) thinking they were good. They won't win anything with Ryan Day, Time to fire him.
We love you Matt
I could coach Ohio state better Ryan day is like giving the keys of a lambo to Helen Keller
His offense is like eating bland chicken
Also why didn’t Matt call Michigan lol bro when they had a 8 game losing streak I feel like Matt just hates fr
Yes! Ryan Day screwed up REALLY REALLY bad this past Saturday, but we must also consider that Ohio State was one really bad penalty call away from winning two National Titles under him.
Mattlilbrostategreat is a goat youtuber 🐐
Stop calling my Buckeyes Lil Bro State Matt😂😂
Beat Michigan…..
Currently we are Lil Bro State. I believe we were favored by over 19 points. Get this mf fraud off my team. Expeditiously.
F&ck ohio
I grew up with Ohio State dominance over Michigan… 4 in a row really hurts, and I understand my parent’s hatred for that team now, thanks to Ryan Day. I like Ryan Day, I have been defending Ryan Day for a while. But this year’s loss feels unacceptable. At home, with all those seniors coming back to WIN that game, for them to come back empty handed… I’m angry. However, give it to the end of the year… if we don’t win it all with this roster, I’ll finally be on the fire Day train.
Alabama lost to Vandy
MartybeGiggityGay If OSU does not make the national championship game, im be finally convinced Day should be send to the PeeWee league, 6 years of depression is far too long...
mattbediddlefiddlingkids with another banger 🔥🔥
Until then, we get John Cooper Jr for a couple more years
Everyone had Lil Bro State winning the championship once players started leaving Alabama. But Big Bro showed every team how to shut them down.
It seems Ohio State is incapable of beating anyone rocking the “Block M” logo
Marthelomew really called this after their first. Speaking the truth
Matt, you need to talk about what’s going on with Nebraska with everything that happened today, 4 transfers of key players on defense, our DC heading to Florida state, and our DL coach possibly joining him. Please make a video bout this
It's going to be interesting to see what MuttBeDiddlingGoober will say when Ryan Day becomes the head coach for the Bama Crimson Toads.
Good vid mattbestarving
I can feel your energy on this subject MattBeGreat ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Ryan Day should get a lifetime contract. GO BLUE!
Harbaugh said it's easy to hit a homerun when you start out on 2nd. So Day had it easy with Urban's players.
Ryan Day is college football’s John Harbaugh.
Except John never loses to his brother.
