Marina Satti is the biggest star in greek music right now.-
The song is about the loss of her father. As a muslim he was not able to be buried in Athens so they found a cemetary in Komotini. While they were there, Marina saw many tombs of people from Syria, Iran, Iraq etc who had died the same day.
It perfectly shows the double reality of the Mediterranean sea. Under the Mediterranean waters that tourists see, there are thousands of refugee corpses and their blood is on our hands, both us living in Mediterranean countries but also the EU in general.
It is indeed written as a poem. That’s what Satti wanted for this song.
This shipwreck took place just a year ago, off the coastline of Pylos, Greece. It was one of the deadliest:

She speaks about the refugees mostly come from iran bangladesh etc walk to turkey and then pass by to europe - greece. But or they overload the boats or they give them broken ones without good engines so they would sink in purpose.
Also Refugees from wars primarily Syria, Afghanistan etc .economic, religious etc Pakistan, Bangladesh, Somalia . Pirates would charge a lot of money and put people on lousy boats, rafts , especially from Turkey , without care as to safety. Especially starting in 2015, there was a major surge. This migration continues today. Small Greek islands have been overwhelmed, Chios, Samos Lesbos etc., at times there has been Greek pushback, (it’s like an invasion at times), agreements w Turkey EU agreeing to Give Turkey & Greece $ to create camps, processing . Turkey has accepted 3 million Syrians., but lately ther have been tensions, problems. There has been alot pushback in EU countries lately. I’m glad Marinas bringing awareness to this issue again, we tend to forget or not be aware of the scope of deaths. Humanity must stay awake & be more aware of what is happening in our world. Marinas isn’t making a political statement She’s making a human statement, mostly about innocents dying and children and if we can contribute to helping

Δεν φτάνει που έχεις βάλει τεράστια γράμματα και καλύπτεις την εικόνα, και έχεις βάλει και reverb 100 κιλά στον ήχο, το έχεις πετσοκόψει κιόλας το τραγούδι, το σταματάς 10 φορές κάθε 3 δευτερόλεπτα. Αυτό δεν είναι reaction. Βασανιστήριο από την κόλαση είναι.
Δεν έχεις κι άδικο 😂 Έχουν πει ότι το πετσοκοβουν το τραγούδι λόγω πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων. Τα γράμματα είναι όντως απαράδεκτα μεγάλα. Αλλά τους το δίνω ότι οι αντιδράσεις τους είναι αυθόρμητες και δεν τα βλέπουν από πριν, αυτό πιστεύω τουλάχιστον
Αν δεν το κάνουν έτσι το RUclips θα τους το κατεβασει. Πάντως βλέπεις ότι ο σκοπός της Μαρίνας να ενημερώσει τους νέους ανά την υφήλιο πραγματοποιηθηκε. Γιατί το παλικάρι από ΗΠΑ καλοπροαιρετος αλλά δεν ήξερε τίποτα. Δεν τους δείχνουν στις ειδήσεις τίποτα για τα προσφυγικά θέματα της Ευρώπης
Είναι όντως βασανιστήριο, αλλά είναι υποχρεωτικό, όπως έγραψαν και οι άλλοι. Την αντίδρασή τους θες να δεις και όχι το βίντεο ή να ακούσεις το τραγούδι. Πήγαινε στο επίσημο σάιτ για να το ακούσεις και να το δεις με την ησυχία σου.
