I really appreciate PBS and their ability to bring candidates into debates like this where people can ignore the political speak and look at what the specifics of what candidates are saying about their records. Though independent, I lean very strongly left and agree in principle with many of the broad goals that Julie Gunnigle mentioned, but her specifics were lacking. While I disagree with Rachel Mitchell's political-speak, the details of her effectiveness in carrying out her job were far superior. I am a pragmatist at heart and, in the end, whether or not you can do the job means more to me than your ideology.

Arizona does not deserve Julia. The majority of this country does not understand the prison and legal system and the CASH FLOW that is apart of it. There many there is no financial incentive for a decrease in crime and prison population. And because of party lines and perhaps lack of intelligence, many in the public cheer it on. This will be studied thoroughly in the future.
