amanuningbie.com HISTORICAL BACKGROUND. On May 1,1952, the late Bishop Cesar Ma. Guerrero launched the Cruzada ning Virgen de los Remedios, to heal the wounds of divisions in Pampanga brought about by labor unrest and widespread poverty. Our Lady of Remedies marched with Our Lord of Pardon to all the parishes and barrios of the then Diocese of San Fernando, effecting unity among the Kapampangan, the rich and the poor praying together, sharing meals together, walking together in a procession of faith and helping one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. The cruzada became a venue for evangelization, missions, catechesis and compassion for one another. Thousands of devotees joined the procession and gathered at Villa Sol, San Fernando City to join the Holy Mass and witness the 54th Canonical Coronation Anniversary (September 8, 1956 - 2010) of VIRGEN DE LOS REMEDIOS.
