As a fan from the USA since 2004/2005 (I was 10/11 then), I love this club. No matter what. I'm a Saint through and through. Regardless what happens this season, I'm saving and planning on going to a few home games early next year if God gives me a chance. Taking my 6 year old with me too. LETS FCKING GO SOUTHAMPTON!
Fair play to the Owls for playing open and expansive football, having a go. Saints were excellent though the score line reflects the non-parking of the bus
Dear EFL can we please have extended highlights of what sounds like a stunning game: Grimsby Town 5 - Notts County 5. Rather than your usual League 2 Wrexham love-in, regardless of their score, thanks.
Imagine if Russell Martin managed Watford. They would’ve sacked him after a slowish start to the season. Good to see Southampton place their full trust in him and it’s beginning to pay off.
fantastic win, we can only focus on ourselves and make sure we keep this streak going. we simply have to beat those around us when the time comes to get 2nd and if other teams beat them then it’s a bonus. my nerves can’t take the play-offs 😂
Who? If you mean the saints Ur avin a laugh. If you mean the owls, not so much massive nowadays after 30 years of decline. But still far bigger than the saints will ever be.
very poor sheff wednesday..did anybody tell them your supposed to mark a attacker running forward ?? seen kids defend better on the local parks. 3 defender run towards a attacking forward leaving 2 attackers completly un marked ???
From being at the game, these highlights don’t paint the full picture - wednesday centre backs were phenomenal and were absolute walls for so long - it’s only at the end of the game having been run ragged that things really started to come undone. If they perform like that defensively but with a little more control of the midfield they’ll do well for sure
SCRAP THE PARACUTE PAYMENTS: FAIR DEAL FOR ALL EFL CLUBS I am not an Owls fan but recognise that the clubs in the Champ without parachute money don't stand a fair chance against those that do.
Parachute Payments are important for relegated clubs. What's really needed is a rule whereby PP can only be used to keep/pay EXISTING players, NOT to make new signings. I think that would make it fairer...
If Prem clubs can't manage their clubs, inc. contracts they hand out, nor allocate all the finances they receive in such a fashion as to be able to successfully compete in the Championship without such hand outs they are both incompetent and negligent. One has only to look at the clubs bouncing back each season to recognise that the Prem has created a self-perpetuating hierarchy...it has fixed the Championship with the relegated clubs having more money before a ball is kicked than half the division generates in a year. It stinks....not least because the Prem would be nothing but a boring procession without relegation and a turnover of clubs, it needs the EFL to continue to generate interest and income, yet the amount of money most EFL clubs get in so-called solidarity payments is abysmal. It's scandalous but as most EFL clubs have been left financially desperate they obsequiously grab these crumbs... @@papasmurfette007
And get over £100m Prem parachute failure money. Prem just fixing the Championship...and it has become the same every season, just look at the table. And all you ever get from the apologists are words to the effect that 'Luton did it' (go up). well Leicester won the Prem...such exceptions just prove the rule..@@djdaniel444
We came to try and take the game to you, but were very wasteful when we got any possession and didn't take any of the very few chances we had. Lessons learned, need to get more players in this transfer window.
Well done you have a team from the prem. we haven’t had that in 24 years. What’s it feel like like to beat us lol. Wish we had parachute payments in 2000.
Good for you enjoy the prem again. No other teams ever have a sniff because the prem teams come down and go back up. Only Luton has over achieved in championship in years and years

Great performance, but as a Saints fan really pleased to see Danny Rohl doing well as a manager
One of the best performances I've seen in a while considering Wednesday have been in decent form lately. We march on 🔴⚪🔴
Sheffield Wednesday are horrible!

@@josephrobert194still a bigger club than southampton
I hope Wednesday play you in the FA Cup, they'll have something to prove!
@@bettytigersI hope they do play us in the cup and every week 😂
Great to see Ryan Fraser playing well and confident, Che Adams on the scoresheet too. Good for Scotland 🙏
Saints are now 20 games unbeaten in all competitions (19 in the league) and have won their last 8 home league games.
Amazing atmosphere, best performance this season. UTS 🔴🔴⚪⚪

This club is going places

If they get promoted they'll just get relegated straight away again
@BIREK.. when we got promoted last time we lasted 11 years so normally stay in there a while.
@@BIREK.. mate leeds will go back down not us
@@BIREK..no we won’t.We’ve spent 38 out of the last 46 seasons as a top flight team

Saints playing some amazing football!
Proud to be a saints fan what a spectacular win this was for them hope we stay in top 3 to get back into Premier League❤️❤️❤️
Massive club

Support wednsday but Southampton dominated but we did expect it
The crowd noise in this video couldn’t be any faker. Did you forget to take a mic?
Wednesday didn't really turn up and the Saints were very slick up front.
Very poor, considering how we played last few weeks, I've seen better defending in a school playground, a tip for the future, Mark your attackers

Wtf is that audio how shocking
Bad sound effects I reckon haha
They must have forgot to have a mic for the crowd noise so have just looped generic crowd noise effects over it. It sounds like South Africa 2010.
Eieieieeio up 🆙 the football league we go
gr8 football,joy to watch
we are looking awesome, Ipswich will soon be in the rear view mirror
To easy for em
As a neutral I must say I was amazed at how much space Armstrong was given by Wednesday.
I generally thjnk right now most teams in the prem wont beat us at st Mary's

The owls did well to get nil. I was expecting a more stern test than what they offered. Another terrific home win.
