Special Investigation: Wyfornication (Aerial Hammer) - 特別討究 ライゼクス ハンマー ソロ【サンブレイク】

Fun quest, and I'm very proud I managed to sub 10 it with a unique and fun playstyle.
Aerial Spinning Bludgeon's buff in TU3 was really nice. When I saw that it was the most used Silkbind move by Hammer users in Rise and Sunbreak, I was not surprised.
It's a great move in animation, feel (crazy hitlag), and damage, and it is easy to spam. It's of course not the most effective against every monster, but it works.
Astalos is an interesting monster in Sunbreak. I do think it was unnecessarily nerfed however, in terms of speed and IA. When charging up, Astalos spams a bit too much the headbutt attack, the single wing slam, and the tail swipe.
Back in X, Astalos was overall more evasive, faster, and would spend a bit more time in the air, and especially use that signature aerial wings slams barrage of his more often.

I started this series very late, so I went immediately from World/Iceborne to Rise/Sunbreak. I loved using the sliding aerial bludgeon in World, and then I went onto Rise and realized I could do it anytime I wanted... I spammed the absolute hell out of it when I first learned I could do that. It is a very, very fun playstyle.

Anytime Astalos and Rathian are in the same area my headcanon is that the Astalos is trying to mate with her, which is always really funny cause this electric psychopath with shitty eyesight just happens to go "green lady wyvern? it MUST be another Astalos and not at all the counter part to my rival."
