hey hey ! lets address some questions people might have right off the bat uwu
*1: "Why is there an overlay over the pv?*
The album "Seven Crimes and Punishments" is the only of mothy's albums that were distributed world wide. _Mothy_ monetizes his songs but allows them to stay up. WMG, who handled the distribution for SCaP, blocks anything that's flagged for copyright world wide.
The Portrait Glassred Drew, Drug of Gold, and (of course), Seven Crimes and Punishments all debuted on the SCaP album, which means they're the only ones that WMG has any claim to. But for some reason WMG isn't actually scanning for the music itself, but for the Pvs. Which means that Portrait and SCaP are able to go up as long as there's something blocking the automatic copyright from detecting the pvs (and DoG doesn't have to worry about copyright at all, with it not having an official pv).
It seems a little backwards to me, since WMG didn't actually Distribute the pvs, but it at least means that this video is allowed to exist (albeit with some compromises).
This is exactly why I've waited so long to subtitle this song, because the Pv is genuinely one of the most beautiful in this series. I wasn't capable of making a pv on par with the original, and it was just so Sad to cover it up.
That said, much like my video for SCaP, I decided that it'd be worth it if I could Add something to make the experience of watching the video over all comparable, you know?

As someone who hasnt read the novels, its nice seeing these types of videos! I always just assumed she felt peer pressured to make fun of Cherubim, but seeing that she did it to protect him made me feel really sorry for her :(
Gumi has such a perfect song for these yearning, tragic songs. Not angsty, "life sucks I wanna die" kinda songs but the ones that give thought rather than catharsis.
And realizing she did it to protect him, rather than just hating him...oh, wow.
Her voice is the perfect mix of strain and a kind of melancholy between sad and happy
@@beelzemobabbity I agree completely. GUMI's voice has never not been the perfect sound for my ears.
She sounds genuine in both happy and sad songs, but I admit every sad song using GUMI has always made me cry. There are some I can't even really listen to anymore because they hold such painful memories-

And yes, especially Gumi's voice is amazing in EC. There are many songs with and characters portrayed by Gumi in EC which I like.^^
Why do all the love story have to be broken in such ways in the EC ;-; I want a what if story with happy Cherubim and Gumina... Same for Banica and Carlos, Nemesis and Nyoze :(

If I remember correctly in the deal with Irina, Cherubim killed his favored older brother Sateriasis to swap bodies with him so he could accept himself. I know him and Irina also desposed of anyone who witnessed him with women.
He never swap bodies. The venom sword allows the user to change ppls faces. That's how he got his brothers face.
Also u r partially correct with disposing ppl who saw them. In most cases they would simply use the memory spell from the sword to wipe their memories instead of killing them but in some cases (like when he was getting lillien)he would kill the entire household
This and Last Revolver always make me cry... Gumi why... 😭
Thank you so much for introducing thr story prior to the events of the song too 🥺💚💜 I've seen the Evillous songs for several years already on repeat, but it's still nice to see the full flow of a story arc!
