  • Lament for a maidenhead (poem by Sappho 630 - 570 BC, in the style of spoken word tropical house)
    Like a quince-apple
    ripening on a top
    branch in a tree top
    not once noticed by
    harvesters or if
    not unnoticed, not reached
    [second voice]
    Like a hyacinth in
    the mountains, trampled
    by sheperds until
    only a purple stain
    remains on the ground
    Poem in the public domain.
