None of them left now. Rest in peace, soldiers. You've earned it.
    Salute from the US.

My great grandfather was Garrison artillery, his brother was a driver. Both survived, however their other brother was unlucky. He suffered shell shock as an ambulance driver in the RAMC. He went back to serve on a hospital ship which hit a mine just off Le Havre, returning for more casualties. All were lost. Hearing the voices is quite remarkable.

At 12:59 the guy compares the bullets to "stair carpets." What on earth does he mean?

I think he may have meant like stair rods , ""The bullets were like rain, raining like like stair rods""

Was supposed to be the war to end all wars. Such devastation and loss….sadly history keeps repeating itself.
