The irony of that statement is very amusing. It’s a paradox. Dismissing this as ‘just another conspiracy’ doesn’t make sense because all of these theories are based on admitted facts, not speculation: There are definitely drones, the government has acknowledged them, and has stated that they don’t know what they are. Anything to explain beyond that is just a plain old ‘theory’, because even the government doesn’t have a one. As such, there is no conspiracy - only theories to explain the admitted unknown. Ironically, the only way to call this a conspiracy is to go beyond those facts and insinuate that the government is lying, which would make you the one engaging in a conspiracy theory.
I also find it hard to believe that someone who considers themselves well-educated would accept conflicting government statements without engaging in critical thinking. That’s another paradox: well-educated people often question and analyze information, yet in this case, you didn’t, and you now can’t. If you did, you’d have to challenge the government’s position-and that would make you the conspiracy theorist, as you’d be suggesting the government isn’t telling the unequivocal truth
