I saw Carr on Kiss' Animalize, Asylum, Crazy Nights and Hot in the Shade tours. And then I would have seen Eric Singer. Carr was a fantastic drummer. Probably my favorite of all the Kiss drummers.
It's hard to believe it was 33 years ago that Eric passed away. I remember it like it was yesterday same time Freddy Mercury passed away.. It's scarey to think that 35 years from now ,none of any of the members of KISS will be alive .
The guy gets nothing but accolades upon accolades upon accolades upon accolades. He isn't under rated nor is he demonished or unrecognized or uncredited. He is the only non original member that is just as highly thought as the original four. He has got praise since day one unlike any of the original four. Yes, he was a good drummer. Damn lucky one at that. That's all fine and dandy, well deserved, I guess so. However, his make up as the fox didn't match his personality, nor did it look like it belonged. His personality look and vibe matched more of a mousey type of a character. He wasnt foxy or sly as much as he was blushing, people pleasing and always putting himself in shoes that didn't fit. He wasn't bold or daring or even that clever as you'd think a fox would be. He played songs with such speed it cheapened the songs and took all the feel and guts out of songs and left them basically on the side of the road gasping for air trying to catch up. He never looked cool, he never brought anything to the band other than making sure he made guitar players that came after Ace know he was above them regardless of him just being the drummer. Wanting to punch Mark and him boasting how he had to reel in vinnie in the studio in interviews, just showed his height complimented his fragile ego .
Ugh the voices I had to shut it off
Well, I apologize , but there is nothing I can do about Eric Carr's voice.
I was lucky enough to catch him on his last tour .. Hot in the Shade tour...
With the electric drum pad solo.. that sounded like monks humming 🥁🦊 RIP
Thank you for this Shane.

wow, I didn't think about the time with Freddy!
I remember feeling incredibly let down by that “Kids are People, Too!” Interview because his makeup was lame (in this little kid’s opinion)…
Loved his makeup at that' time
