The Pipistrel is a beautiful bird. My bucket list just got a little bigger.👍
wait till you see the panthera
@@samtatenumber1 Ok my God , itis like litle bird Pipistrel Welcome to Brazil...
Him tur off the engine many time, no Vibrations and Noise...
This so cute Arplane and very safety Security first...
Now we have many opportunity for investment in Gleanner energy and Eletric Arplane...
Talk to me.,
i m know about everything Brazilian lower in Brazil...
🎯🎯🎯👍
Ok, that's it! My father is a retired airline pilot and always wanted me to fly. I took a ground school course and passed with a high grade. Just couldn't afford the rest. Now at 55 I can fly this pipistrel.
Go for it!
Do it!
My father isnt a pilot but he is always saying he wants to fly with me for his 60 birthday. Im doing my glider license now and if all goes well. We can be in the Sky then!
@@germanstorms2785 You can do it!!!
🎯👍
That's awesome that you turned the engine off and just glided down to land (touch and go)...It's a great light sport plane, easy to maneuver and very responsive...I flew this a couple weeks ago, and it's so addicting, wanted to go up again :)
I'm a private pilot that has been grounded for health reasons for 30 years. Between the improvement of my health and the requirements to fly this airplane I can get my wings back. Had always hoped to fly again. Ant this airplane looks and behaves marvelously! Love the idea of being able to do an engine out glider approach! I'm very excited. Going to visit the Inverness flight school...Right Rudder Aviation very soon!
👍
I used to practice Deadstick landings in a Super Cub. There was a pair of paved runways out in the middle of a farmer's field in California. There was never anybody or any other airplane around. I would also take friends out there to practice touch and goes. Good Times.
Sometimes I used with my plane as well ;) Great video. I like so much this kind of training video. ruclips.net/video/--eHQyRX4Lg/видео.html.

Looks like a blast to fly, and instructor is calm and knowledgeable.
Seriously, I can't like his enough. Very cool!
Good luck, that is something neither one of you will forget. It will be a blessing.
I'm not surprised! One of the planes you actually force it to land cause of the huge flying characteristics.
Good machine, good performance! Flew test flight for impression on the pipistrel virus, and also as I know, some two ladies made it around the world with the pipistrel verus, but the one with longer wings. Awesome machine!
Bloody frigging brilliant is an understatement
thx for the nice video. it helps me a lot in the choice between Tecnam, Virus or Alpha. This is like a great and simple plane
Thanks...I am learning on the Sinus....Was great to watch the landings...
Beautiful looking and performing airplane! I love it!
Beautiful airplane, great video! Thanks a million!
Beautiful aircraft. You could really fly ultra long range with that one. Thanks for the video.
I saw six or seven of their planes out of Inverness over Lakeland today. What a great little plane. Just pure fun. Thanks.
Yea lol. We use 9-10 planes out of Inverness 3x a day for Mesa Pilot Development
That is amazing bro....I never knew deadsticking could be that smooth
nice airplane, a great instructor, your lucky to have such a knowledgeable instructor, the plane just floats in engine off, great landing
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! One of the best CFIs I have ever observed and I am an FAA 141 Examiner, check pilot, and Gold Seal CFII-ME w/6000+hrs. Over at this same kid's "Challenging Piper Colt FR" Video there were comments from sad tools like "5feetgoaroundfullflapsc150" and CFITOMAHAWK2 knocking this instructor that simply displayed their envy and ignorance. Notice how at critical moments he kept his hands NEAR the stick but never manipulating it unless urgently needed vs too many instructors that constantly nudge/ride the controls? Think his name is Andy Chan and someone in FL should nominate him for CFI of the Year as both skilled and a superb aviation ambassador with these vids as evidence..
interesting how safe and well designed and at the same time at its core - a simple plane idea finally caught ppls minds lol
Beautiful flight.
what a well engineered plane that is!
Wow! Truly amazing
I would love to own one of these. Looks lightweight, efficient, ergonomic.
This thing barely stalls at all. Very impressive. The overall philosophy of this plane (impressive glide ratio, docile handling, extremely friendly departure behaviour, parachute) makes it seem very safe.
This wasn't a stall. You need to pull the yoke fast to get this plane in a stall. (one of my mistakes with a double seater. As I learned to fly in a single seater you don't really have an close view of a flight instructor.)
1:15 isn't a good glide ratio, 1:20 to 1:30 are more common.
The departure isn't so good as a good plane should climb without rotating (0m to 50m safty start without actively pulling the stick and from there what the plane can handle, it's different from country to country and flight school to flight school but allways stay on the safe side).
In a gilder you aim for the very firts part of the runnway, to hook up to the towplane fast. It's a nice learning experience as you need to push the plane via hand back if you missed.
All "foolproof" small airplanes produced in the last 70 years simply do not have the elevator power to properly stall or enter a spin. The oldest I can think of is e.g. the Piper PA-22-160 TriPacer or the C-172 Skyhawk, the latest is this one, the Pipistrel. Nothing magical or new about a docile and nice-flying small aircraft. BUT - load it improperly and/or do power-on slow flight at low altitude, and ANY one of these docile aircraft will bite you in the arse, and bite HARD!
Whenever you get your hands on a a new and unfamiliar aircraft, take it to a safe altitude and abuse it in the slow flight regime. If it has any hidden bad habits, this is where you can safely get to know them. The next step is a few barely-flying slow-passes along the runway at 2-3 feet in a landing configuration. This allows you to become familiar with the behavior of this thing in ground effect.
@@Halli50 thank you for all this information. I am not a pilot and whatever I know about aviation is only through my lifelong but academic passion for it.
Under power it most certainly stalls with an aggressive wing drop to the right. Although it will immediately stabilise and fly itself out.
🎯👍
wow beautiful flying.
Pipistrel is one of those aircraft I've been thinking about A LOT. Nice video! Such a cool experience!
🎯👍
Awesome aircraft!
Ive just been binge watching aviation all day, i think I’ve found a new intrest
Welcome!
I've been doing the same thing for 3 or 4 weeks now. I'm really interested in owning and learning to fly an ultralight in the near future. Looks like so much fun.
Oh my god same! My plans about the future have changed!
Nuts, never thought I'd be searching for classes and an interest in flying myself, but here I am. I'm obsessed with engine failure landing vids. I hope its all for educational use in the future only lol
Oh my God, how many times we have done this in our Alpha Trainer... and totally worth it!
It’s really amazing....
Awesome, I just called you for lessons. I would like to get one of these limited edition alpha trainers. I was looking for a sinus but may have to start with the alpha. Update: I got the Sinus as the one I was waiting for (550kg taildragger) came on the market.
Excellent video and cool aircraft! Thank you. I enjoyed that quite a lot.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! It was such a fun flight
That thing is so cool!
This plane is just so incredible. It's almost to good to be true
It was really enjoying to watch 😎👍
Totally cool! Thanks...
Really cool. Great video !!!
Amazing!
I love how that instructor he have a really down to earth vibe about him
Awesome plane!
Wow that was awesome! At times I felt like I was there lol. This plane is so unique makes me think of Leonardo da Vinci. Great video.
clean neat and nice!
Very sweet!
Looks fun!
Amazing aircraft
It really is. Thanks for watching Matt!
This plane is awesome
A beautiful little aircraft ..would love to fly it ..👍
brilliant !
What a beautiful airplane
People watching the glider go around: 0_0
9:37 That ATCS sounds like she's half asleep.
It's not ATC. It's a Unicom frequency at an uncontrolled airport so it was just another plane on the radio announcing their position.
CTAF it was.

Glider pilots when he starts to sweat at the deadstick landing:
Pathetic
So cool
Excellente
well done man!
I am a 62 year old non pilot. This will be where I train and the plane I buy. I’ve been flying this one in MSFS 2020.
Thats pretty sweet
Oh what a nice Plane
Awsome vid
Wow! Fun
Nice !
Wow that is bad ass!
That. Was cool.
That was nice. I miss flying. I soloed in a Katana DA20 about 25 years ago. Life happened, so I didn't get a chance to get my PPL. But, now that I'm retired, I have been thinking that may be the Motorized Glider Pilot License may be a cheaper way to get back to flying.
Awesome!👍👏🏻🙏🏅
Thank you!
This makes me want to get back in the saddle, that plane and in Florida! Looks more fun than the Cessna 172...
Only about 100 times more fun than a 172!
that plane is impressive
Nice video!
I learned in a TG-2 and got my private in a C-150. This is the kind of airplane that I'd like to have.
I was really surprised with it. I would love one, especially the taildragger version
That was fun.
Im a current ucf student looking to go to ERAU after I graduate this year!
Awesome!!! :D
Ok. I’m ready to sell my 150! That was an amazing demo of an efficient bird! Outstanding.
You'd probably have to sell three to five C-150s for even exchange for this new bird.
The power of slovenia💪💪💪💪
Personally I think every private pilot should have to have a couple hours in this type of aircraft where they can actually do an engine off and restart procedures and checklists. Just saying. What an amazing tool. It is a little unnerving to be so quiet when as a pilot you are tuned to the sounds your aircraft makes. Every little sound change, you can detect. The opportunity to actually run a checklist, restart and recover? No simulation can compete with the knowledge gained by actually having to perform an emergency procedure. Great video. Thanks.
You really hone your flight skills with a motor-glider. You can almost become as efficient as a test pilot knowing the aircrafts full capabilities and achieving the most from your aircraft. It also has to be one of the best confidence building flight training platforms available for a low-time pilot. I would recommend this type of training to any pilot who would be thinking of aviation as a career. Knowing what you aircraft can and can not do allows for a pilot to focus on the emergency in hoping you can resolve the problem your facing and knowing what your aircraft has available all the way to deciding to land or deploy the ballistic parachute. The only issue with this aircraft is the wide wingspan that may prevent you from landing on a paved road surface. But with such a low landing speed you could set down on a farm field without hopefully doing to much damage to the gear. You have a lot of options with a 50-1 glide ratio. Damn!! Great video!!
Everything you said is correct but it’s actually a 15:1 glide ratio, maybe it sounded like I said 50. But pipistrel makes versions like the sinus with much better glide ratios, this one is the training aircraft so I’m guessing they went with shorter wings to make it a better all around aircraft. I think with wheel pants and the door closed it goes up to about 17:1. Also check out the sonex Xenos!
Also thanks for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it
FloridaFlying - I have heard so many different glide ratio’s for this aircraft with the different wing configuration that the basic wing it gets 27:1 and with the extensions it’s reported to have achieved 41:1 ratio’s. There’s no reporting of conditions but NASA reported a 32:1 ratio with the extensions on and they were reporting minimal weight. Dan Johnson had a factory representative reporting an almost 60:1 ratio but given that these numbers are all over the board it’s going to comedown to conditions for that day and aircraft configuration. The operator also stated he could be over the mid point in the Gulf of Mexico at 17,000 feet and glide all the way to Columbia if he lost his engine. But he didn’t mention about battery power requirements. Not sure if I would want to attempt that one. But I guess it’s safe to say that the Petersripol Aircraft glides really well and leave it at that statement!
John Paul Lafferty thanks for your input! Before this flight I had never really looked into the Pipistrel line of aircraft (except the Panthera, I’m really excited about that one). I really love the taildragger pipistrels, like the virus or sinus. And they put Bush wheels on them which looks so cool! It really gets off the ground quick, and stol version would be amazing
@@MrWATCHthisWAY All the info is on their web site:
Pipistrel is 15:1 at 64 Knots
Their best glider is the Taurus at 41:1 at 115 km/hr, .7m/sec at 94 km/hr minimum sink
Sailplane LDs are measured near sea level with standard temperature and pilot weights in still air.
www.pipistrel-aircraft.com/
seemed quite twichy nice little plane t-tail with no super stall, a 747 has a glide ratio of 17-1
the proof that engines and turbines are all scam. its all about ur skills in black magic
@Nydorino I can get in the air but I have a horrible glide ratio
TiredandLightheaded wooosh
Cool
Pipistrel creates probably the most ergonomic aircraft on the market today.
🎯🎯🎯👍
I like the electric one best, although the gas job isn't too bad.
This is what i want, modified with STOL kit, lol. What a great plane, 2-3-4 gph. Thats better thsn the ultralight i used to have👍
That was a cool airplane. I only know Cessna.
TOP!
Pesawat yang kecil mungil dan bagus 😍👍
Very nice I fly one in boerne texas
It’s a really great flyer
Deadstick landings in a 172 are the main thing I do on a simulator because it's the hardest thing in flying. Sometimes flaps, sometimes not.
man this is what im going to do in the new Flightsimulator :D lol
nice
Try some gliding.
It's very satisfying flying without that noisy fan up front !
I used to fly power but now hooked on gliding. It's very addictive !!
Only one point to note with that landing is the engine will have cooled down significantly during the last 5 mins of no power and to immediately restart it and use it max power might thermal shock it.
I would not do that to my engine :)
the little baddie, Pipistrel
If you get a Private Pilot certificate on this Pipistrel trainer, is that certificate good to fly other planes like a C172?
hi! how many feet (AGL) were you when turned the engine off?
Saw this one as electric plane flying a few weeks ago. When it was taxiing on ground and went on idle the prop always turned off
Wow on that glide... imagine how much further ir can do with wheel fairings. haha
I'm interesting to buy this one InsyaAllah..
This plane may just convince me to get a recreational pilot's licence
No nose dip on stall, and you fly like a glider on deadstick! How far can this thing fly on a gallon of fuel with 2 people while going from gliding to power do you think?
