  • Building my Ham Radio station. KIO Hex-beam 2 elements HF tri-band (10,15,20) directional antenna and a vertical Diamond X-50 antenna for the 2 meters and 70 cm bands + Yaesu Antenna rotator model G-800DXA.
It's a DIY project and an alternative system for raising and lowering my Hex Beam and Diamond X-50 antennas.
Performance since installed are absolutely amazing!

Perfect timing for video. I have an x50 2m/70cm and am about to purchase a Kio Hex. this is great.

How did the Hex Beam go from the ladder to the top of the mast?

I wish I had a video to show that too. It wasn't easy. A bunch of people held it horizontally first with the antenna end pole touching the mast hole. Then we slowly pushed the Hex up using long poles on both sides, which raised the antenna from horizontal to diagonal, and finally to vertical until it 'fit' into the mast hole.
