  • Reached a max depth of about 208 meters. Then started to draw the ROV back up. Not much to see unless you are interested in retrieving ROVs.

    Like your videos. Just doing some research before I build and have a question. How can your ROV go that deep when most data says 100m max depth? Great video. If you ever want to come over to the gulf island let me know. It would be cool to meet up and see it go.

      +Scott Simmons I modified my OROV with a thicker E-Tube (6.5mm), End Caps (12.5mm) and battery tubes (3mm). :D

      +OpenROV #272 I did watch all your videos they were great. I have my open ROV almost finished and did read up on making the end cap thicker and all but have opted for the stock variation based on your videos and what you have said about trying to anchor in such deep water. Most of our areas in around Salt Spring are probably max 200 ft or so. Thanks for posting so much you have made it easier for those that come along latter and build.
