@@JoshMcSwain I would argue Christian Alvestam (former Scar Symmetry) and Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth are equally as amazing.
If we are strictly talking about GROWLS & clean, then yeah Tomi is best for sure. I've just honestly never liked Akerfeldts gutturals, and i dont think his cleans are anywhere near as good as Tomi.
If we are talking about harsh vocals in general + clean, I'd give top spot to Jari Mäenpää, for reasons that become obvious as soon as you hear his music. He's probably one of the most talented musicians in all of metal right now, too bad he releases music so infrequently.
For me it is Mikael Stanne by far

These are all great albums and Amorphis managed to make them sound recognizeable but yet different.

A bit disappointed by this, honestly, considering its from the upcoming live album. In my opinion, one of the best parts of this song is Tomi's use of his relatively new "black metal" vocal style, as heard on "Four Wise Ones" during the chorus and "Dark Path" during the verse. This just didnt sound right, with him using only guttural growls for the entire chorus.
I much prefer the growls from the studio version too. He still sounds awesome here, but the higher pitched growls off the studio album give this song a different feel to the usual Amorphis and I like that.
This doesn't sound like it's gonna be nice.
