    Great review!! Not sure on the price difference, guessing may be able to get the Beta for less, there is also a cool factor to riding something different than everyone else! If we had a local Beta dealer I would try one for sure. The KTM tuning app would be fun to test with though.....

      The Beta maps (Sun and Rain) are noticeably different...the Rain map (with TC engaged) really dials back the power and response.

    Great comparison. Both bikes are still fresh and with time and learning setup and tires they should both get better. The ability to fine tune the KTM has made a difference. Rebate on the FE's? No real comments about the air forks, sounds like they may have it dialed.

      The CUO unit on the KTM can change the power character noticeably (smooth the throttle response) and make the bike "feel" lighter in motion (dialing back engine braking). The latest AER forks work well though I still prefer the feel of spring forks so a set of WP CV spring forks that I have had on (4) pervious KTM 450's will soon go onto my 24.5 450FE. There are no rebates on the 24.5 KTM 450FE that I am aware of though the base 2024 450SXF has $2000 rebate to the dealer so that bike can be purchased at discounted price now.

    As you know give it 10 12 hours and that bike will feel amazing I have 20 hours on my 350 Factory Edition and it feels better each time I get on it

      Yep the stiffer chassis from 23 model year feels pretty firm. I can notice a little better tire contact patch feel with the updated more compliant 24.5 FE chassis. Will probably get a 25 350 Factory Edition when they come out later this year.

    Which one feels lighter? How about perceived vibration differences?

      Weight feeling in motion is similar. Beta vibrates more at the handlebars and even feel vibration through the seat when sitting still and revving the engine.

    Which did you like more? Your Ktm or the beta 450?

      I think they are both very good bikes. The KTM requires some suspension tweaking and so does the Beta. The KTM offers a phone app to tune the engine character which I use more than expected (turning the engine power down and minimizing engine braking). I think the Beta will offer similar tuning features soon and hopefully come with a better overall suspension setting out of the box for 2025 (which they already announced). I bought the KTM so that says something!

    What air pressure do you like in your MX34s ?

    • @mxengineer1
      @mxengineer1 4 месяца назад

      I run 14~15 psi - wish I could go lower but then I get pinch flats

    • @johnbarnhart7174
      @johnbarnhart7174 4 месяца назад

      I agree with 14-15 psi but for different reason. Below 14 psi, MX34s feel squirmy and unpredictable. MX33s seemed best about 1 psi less.

      @@johnbarnhart7174 Yea I think the MX33 is a stiffer feeling carcass so a little less pressure is good. The MX34 seems a little more compliant
