Hi Simon. I've got a DTX10K-M for a few weeks now. It's my first e-drum. I'm searching for some more sounds/samples to load into the module. Can you tell me, where I can find some in the www? Thanks and greets from germany.
Very well explained... Just a few more questions... There is no Round Robin samples, I'm still wondering how eDrums builders don't include RR Samples and just layers... But well... in this case... How many layers can I have for one articulation? How how many GB have the Module for this purpose? THANKS!
Hi. Yes, there ARE round robin samples - just not on this video. Have a look at the 'Making a Detailed Multi-Layer Sample...' videos. On the full version, you can have up to 10 velocity layers and 4 round robin samples per layer - 40 samples per articulation or zone, so 120 samples on a 3 zone pad. The ProX has 256mb for samples. It's not designed for loading full SD3 kits into. The module itself is much more powerful than that.
Hi. I'm afraid not. The knob was just functional with the last range of modules - the 900, 700 and 502. And it also (technical bit coming up) required a bit of modelling to get the snare release to sound vaguely correct. These modules are all sampled, so sound much better, but cant work with the knob.
So since it can be quite difficult to find a snare with 10 different velocity samples, is the way then to save 1 sample 10 times with different volume in a sound editor?
Hi Steen. No, they need to be different, otherwise it will just sound like one sample and you'll be wasting the space in the module by having multiple copies of the same sample, just at different volumes. They need to be different, so a quiet hit sounds like a quiet hit, and a loud hit sounds like a loud hit.
@@edruminfo okay got it, i just search a little an actually found this free multi layered sample with a DW Snare that im going to test it all with.👍👍 ruclips.net/video/8Wf5c8bKUtU/видео.html

@@edruminfo Thanks for the info! Really the Yamaha module is a great leap... And very powerful!
Hi Simon, unrelated to the video, but if I buy a XP100SP for my dtxpro module, will I be able to use the knob on the pad?

is this the same way to load samples to dtxpro module?
I've done a separate video to show that, but its very similar.
@@edruminfo is that possible DTX Pro Module to make individual output to DAW software?
