No dime to buy. :(
I love this...may have to steal!
@@TheBondExperience By all means!
I’m totally stealing this lol
astorflex dukeflex, half price
@@simontili3374 I just bought those on End. for $230 US They sure look close...same box and extra laces....so....on a budget...if $230 is budgeting....they do the trick..thanks to Iconic Alternatives.
These are made for Drake's by Astorflex, you can score nearly identical boots for less than half the price. The major difference being that Drake's doesn't have a split toe and Astorflex's model does. But otherwise they are identical, down to the box and wrapping. Also, you can resole these if needed.
Andrew, i really love drakes. Love their ties, scarfs and so on… But your hint is just fucking awesome. I will definetly buy the astoreflex shoes. Thanks dude!
@@philippdreyssig8167 glad it helped! They're fantastic shoes.
DUKEFLEX SUEDE BOOTS - DARK CHESTNUT
@@robscherer yup!
Cheers mate, you just saved me some £. Bought the Astorflex and they’re excellent!!
Great review David. I highly respect that you were open about being gifted the shoes by the brand. After all, Bond lives a multi-millionaire lifestyle as a government employee. The Bond lifestyle in it's entirety is not feasible for all :)
I guess you are talking about the sanders boots, i remember the video about them that your soles where at the first day gone bad,
maybe it was something wrong whit that specific shoe, i have the sanders for 3 years and i used them for everything from walking in the rain ,running to catch a bus , even dancing !! i don;t treat them like glass , i use them like full "all year around shoes " i am a reservist in the israeli army ( Sargent mayor) and i even use them for same days in active service.
and the soles are fine indeed.
keep posting new Bond items ,some of them are really great ,as you say buy only what you like .
Great review. Hoping to buy a pair of these so the info you gave on sizing is much appreciated.. I think they look good with the cotton suit he wears in the movie. That outfit has bigger issues, mainly wearing braces with trousers that also have belt loops. Not sure what the costume department were smoking that day haha. It's either one or the other, never both.
A true desert boot (unlined suede, with a crepe sole) is always like wearing a slipper, not a boot. I think some confuse a non-desert boot chukka for a desert boot.
That yard 8:40 is begging for an Aussie bbq and afternoon of backyard cricket.
I purchased my Sanders Spectre this 2024, from watching your video and the AJB forum discussion I have no driven with them, just walking, they haven't worn down, I think it's going to take a long time before the heel and front get rownded enough for driving. I also think it was a total mistake to make the bottom in to 2 parts, since that is what makes it split.
Normally 8UK had to size up to 8.5UK Drakes were fine about changing. I'm not to far from the East London shop but a pain if you mail order.
Great review David. I'm glad to know they stand up. Amazing to think other crepes dissolve so easily. I think they offer great contrast to the tan/beige suit. - Pb
NTTD is supposed to not be ‘your dad’s Bond’ except these shoes are like your grandad’s. :) I prefer my C&J Chiltern boots. Not exactly a Bond model, but nicer looking.
I also wonder how many of these brands will be credited in the film titles?
Probably very few...
The reason some have to size up is the width. Friends with the Drake's boot say it runs narrow.
It is a bit narrow at first, yes.
Bond wears the original laces as shown at 0:32. ;-)
I had to size up ,,, 1 full size fits me perfectly. (sending back the first pair) - great shoes. (I own a couple of bond shoes/boots)
Thanks for the intel!
I’ve tried those on! You really do need to half a size up from your actual size. The boots themselves felt wonderfully light, not sure i would have worn them with a structured cotton suit with jetted pockets but I’m not Daniel Craig lols.
Obsessed with Bond guy.
If that boot is a true stitch-down construction, you CAN take it to a cobbler and gave the sole replaced once it wears out.
Nice scalextric set David.😀👍
I know you went over sizing a bit in the video, but I was curious about what size you wear in other models...like Alden, astorflex, etc...?
Hello David. Could you please give us an update on the soles of the shoes? I'm curious as to how they have held up. Thank you!
Like the Sanders Joel Hi Tops better. The Sanders are so comfortable. Less expensive as well.
Wow you have some sweet cars . Great channel
Thanks so much!
Very nice looking boots! However, I think the price is kind of high for what you get. Not even dainite soles.
new to this channel.. i like the content however i think shoes need more than 3 days to get the real feel of it. Could be a month depending how many times and how long you wear it.
Hi David, I'm hans bruce from Chile and I'm a fan of James Bond, the same as your question is: I fit 7.5 UK in Chiltern de Crocket and Jones, you in drakes recommend buying the same number or half a smaller or medium number largest number ?? I remain attentive to your comments and excellent program the bond experience greetings
Are they still in good shape today? How did they wear over the years?
I love the boots
They are fun.
Home has nice decor😉
Thanks!
Drakes are made by Astorflex. Check out their other range.
Nice. Hey, which gray cardigan was that in the garage?
I love these - and they have a pair left in my size (10.5 UK) - David I'm tempted! atb snack
ps. Do you know what shoe size (uk) Daniel Craig takes?
My friend buy them! Everything drakes makes are top notch.
I don't know Craig's size...
@@TheBondExperience No problem - I imagine he may be a UK 9 or 10???
I only wear blue suede shoes! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Elvis has left the building! ;)
Where’s that green briefcase from?
It's actually a hand made doctor's bag!
What is the sunglasses that you wear?
David “Cat-Like” Zaritsky
Dear god you could build an entire other house in your backyard lol
David, would you recommend these over the churches from quantum of Solace?
Chris Blankner no
No, I think the QoS ones are favored by me more...
@@TheBondExperience hi just curious on the Ryder III's... did you size down and if so how much? thanks!
more like the Kevin Costner experience...
hello
hello there!
David, thanks for the great review. Unfortunately i find this style unappealing. It just does not look like a shoe that Bond would wear. More for a philosophy professor that a spy. The costume designers should have gone back to the Church's chukka.
