I agree about the most cosy part of van life, listening to the storm whilst all snug and warm, when you go outside it is amazing to see the weather but I prefer you to be inside and warm looking out 😊, you go above and beyond for your channel
Looks like we are all fans of your cozy times in your van. That is the best, with a raging storm outside, snug, safe and warm in your van. I also do appreciate the outside visits!!! The weather there is phenomenal!!!
Wow, to call that water "choppy" is a gross understatement. The northern lights were fantastic, just gorgeous. Great storm. I can't wait to see the second half.
I absolutely loved this adventure, the van is very cosy with the storm outside I loved the northern lights what a treat I will be watching this a few times 🌟✨✨🌟
The Northern light at the 14:20 mark was just nothing short of awesome, thank you you for posting that. I to, like a good storm, always have, and you had a great one there to experience and with a hot cup of coffee it couldn’t be better. Thanks for the video sir.
AWESOME video!!! Many nice surprises. Love Atlantic Ocean Road! Love the up looped/risen bridge! I have seen pictures of it - I love bridges. Such a great spot for you right there on the beautiful ocean with the unsheltered and sheltered reservoirs! The waves were gorgeous. Lovely heavy rain storm in your cozy warm van. I do not believe I have ever seen your van at night all closed up with only the pretty decorative lights on. Wow!! Vast open sky's showing off the Northern Lights!! Just beautiful. Jarl, I bet they are more spectacular to see in real life! But they sure are beautiful in this video - as all the videos you share with them. The potato/cheese/veggie wraps looked so delish. Yum. And the coffee!! Nothing like hot delish coffee in a warm cozy space during a heavy rain storm - especially if it is super cold out. This was a real treat! I like your blue tire levelers/wheel stops for your van. I can bet they make the van secure in times like this and on uneven terrain. Looking forward to part 2. Blessings.
I felt like I had to pay to ask this first question: Do you have a toilet in your van? When you make coffee, would you please show us the brand and why that brand? The all-important coffee time is the highlight of your videos. When you are in your van, try brewing coffee in a Chemex. It would taste better and smoother than an AeroPress. Thanks for your time and effort in making the videos for us. They are a delight to watch and re-watch.
@@NorwegianXplorer It has been staying quite warm late in September and into October. In the mid 90's F/35 C. It will finally start cooling down next week. October is the loveliest month here in the Sonoran Desert. Winter is always great out here, as one never has to shovel sunshine.
@@NorwegianXplorer Yes, the desert landscapes and vistas are spectacular. There is so much (teeming) wildlife, birds, plant life and trees, majestic saguaros and other cacti, extensive big sky cloud formations, summer monsoon storms, etc. It's a great place to live and visit. Thanks for your time. ATB
Epic video. I really like how you show just nature and then contrast other scenes focusing on equipment or man made objects in the nature. Quite unique style. I enjoy that very much. Also the "time for coffee" is an essential part of your videos. Aero-Press, nice!
Me encanta la camioneta que bonito vivir asi ahi duermes comes disfrutas los paisajes es una casa con ruedas hoy estas ahi mañana en otro lado es una bonita aventura
Great upside with the heavy rains is the air is so incredibly clean, so refreshing to breathe that filtered air. The time lapse around 15:00 was majestic. Really enjoyed hearing the strong winds howling around your van. Another great adventure Jarl! Thank you for the amazing content! 👏 👌🌧💧🌬🌬🌬
Can't wait to see Part 2. What a video - Northern Lights, storms, and that high bridge! That would be terrifying to cross in a bad storm. Since there is a Part 2, I am assuming you made it through. Quite an exciting experience. Keep safe in your travels. Kindest regards. AM
Hello Jarl awesome scenery, the ocean is so beautiful ,wow that was some rain the rain drops sounded like pebbles hitting your van, the northern lights were absolutely breathtaking, thanks for sharing stay safe out there
Thank you for this beautiful video. I experienced the same thing during a storm in Guernesey and Cherbourg. Superb feeling to see nature like that. Enjoy!!
So here I am drinking my coffee and enjoying my cookies, while watching this very nice van camping in a storm video, and then you suddenly start making the cheese wrappings with chili mayo, and I get so hungry, that I ask my wife to make them for me! And then you show this amazing footage of the Northern Lights, and I am left speechless... What a great video my friend!!!
Your van looks wonderfully cozy and comfortable --- and you're a good cook, too!! I used to love the sound summer storms with rolling thunder and heavy rain when we lived in Minnesota -- Sometimes I'd sit on the porch and watch the storms roll in -- Other times we'd just sit in the bit old farmhouse kitchen and watch the storm out the windows and drink coffee. There's something about the sound of rain that can be so soothing and relaxing. Enjoy your travels!!

Woohoo, what a fun adventure! I can almost feel the wind and rain, as well as the coziness of inside the van, and what a lovely spot you chose. The Aurora Borealis was stunning, lucky you! As always, thanks for sharing 🥰☕️🌧
You enjoy the storm, don't you, Jarl, 😅 laying on your belly on the bed, hahahahahaaaa ! Your van is a shelter too, a cosy one, (whith the cosy little lampions) although the shaking of it by the wind is a bit scaring... (also you were very close to the highway where the speed is so fast)... You had the courage going out, and getting soaked-wet for filming it....for us, in order to let us experience it too... Magnificent northern lights, you were lucky !.... By the way, Jarl, haven't you brought your guitare, to give us a serenade 🎵 🎶 when storm is over ?... Thousand thanks, and always stay safe, dear friend ! 💜
I saw a picture of you playing the guitare and a lady singing... on internet. Aren't you going to make music any more in your music-studio ? Have you perhaps closed that phase of your life as a music- composer ? That would be a pity.... As you know, Jarl, as an elder person (born 1945) I needed quite a period to get used to your conception of music, but I must say there are some (mostly slow and soft) compositions that I really appreciate.
Oh wow what an amazing video, love to see and hear all the rain ☔️ do you ever get frightened? That road/bridge is absolutely phenomenal would love to drive over that take care stay safe and thank you for another fantastic video ❤
Great video of rough weather! Hopefully all who watch will get some idea of just how extreme these coastal storms can be. Most folks don't realize how strong a constant 30-40 mph wind really is! Your filming gives us a good sense of just how inclement these storms are!! Thanks!!
Thank you so much! The ocean is very harsh, I have been out in a couple after this that where worse, and the last one I had to put my van in a garage with winds up to hurricane force. I went out an filmed it though, coming soon!
OMG can't wait for the rest of it. So cozy and warm just listening to it relaxes me. I so wish it would rain here it's still almost 100° and haven't seen rain in a very long time. Tomorrow being October 1st I'm hoping for cooler weather next week. ❤💕❣️💓💜
I love you videos each one is different, I feel that I have seen so much of your beautiful country with out leaving my home which I can’t at the moment as I have broken my leg so watching you is a great escape for me 😊
Here's me watching for the 3rd or 4th time now. haha Your videos are seriously EPIC my friend! Tusen takk for sharing & here's wishing you well. Peace✌
@@NorwegianXplorer 💓💜 You know I'm always here watching. I've never been to the Atlantic Ocean been to Pacific a few times. Love the Aurora borealis lights . I always screenshot beautiful scenery u show so I can look at it later. When did u film this? Least u weren't in ur tent. 😂💕💜
Hi Jarl, it's amazing to spend time like you, I'm trying now the same but in smaller car (minivan) and in similar places (coasts arround Nothern Ireland and Republic of Ireland). One exception... I try to stay night in more quit slots, without these all passing vehicles, cause I'm affraid I couldn't sleep all night. Simply it's too noisy and too dangerous for me that leave car at external turn... Probably you have better drivers up there in Norway, but I hope you know what I mean... Anyway keep going, enjoy your van-life and most important stay safe and healthy... Greetings from Ireland... -Kris

Thank you so much! The ocean is very harsh, I have been out in a couple after this that where worse, and the last one I had to put my van in a garage with winds up to hurricane force. I went out an filmed it though, coming soon!
Ese puente lo he visto en otros videos como los puentes mas asombrosos🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷
It is a great spot
OMG can't wait for the rest of it. So cozy and warm just listening to it relaxes me. I so wish it would rain here it's still almost 100° and haven't seen rain in a very long time. Tomorrow being October 1st I'm hoping for cooler weather next week. ❤💕❣️💓💜
Ah, 100 degrees, wow, we are heading down towards freezing now..
I love you videos each one is different, I feel that I have seen so much of your beautiful country with out leaving my home which I can’t at the moment as I have broken my leg so watching you is a great escape for me 😊
Thank you Elisabeth, hope your leg is healing well!

I filmed this about 2 weeks ago
-Kris
Thank Kris, greetings!
Beautiful scenery
