Co-creator Bill Matthews has said that producer Harry Thompson and comedy writer Jim Pullin (RIP to both) were fundamental in helping evolve the show from its radio beginnings to television. He credits Thompson for creating the Feel the Sportsman and Name Game rounds, and helped set the overall tone of the show.
Series 8 Episode 6 (with Gary & Rory) Series 18 Episode 4 (with Tuffers & Wossy) 2006 World Cup & Summer Sports Specials (as Boris Becker's sidekick), so the last two episodes ever made.
George Washingtonathome Just missing episode 4 now... Nick: What can you say that hasn't already been said about Linford Christie? Well, he's slow and he's got a small penis.
Maybe but he was a good sport when they kept roasting him. I remember once when the question was about the oldest cricket footage ever. It showed the short clip, then showed Gower playing in black-and-white!
One of the best & funniest tv comedy panels shows I've ever seen. Far better than what's on TV these days.
Diffently
I still remember them axing it saying its too "blokey" as in, they didnt want a show for men on tv. Now look at the shit we have to put up with
Man i used to watch this all the time back in the day. This is some nostalgia
Superb stuff thanks.
I used to watch this every week back in the 90s.
Classic show. They wouldn't get away with half the gags these days!!
Yes, Clive Anderson offering to feel up Tessa Sanderson - he'd be banished from TV forever if he said that now!
But you're still watching it and enjoying it here. So they are still getting away with it.
Brilliant stuff! They wouldn’t get away with this in today’s BBC
Spectacular! Awesome find. So pleased to see this up!
Gary's first series haircut is just funny.
Amazing show!
Love the feel the sportsman round!!
IMO it's is They Think It's All Over's signature event
@@StFidjnrif you ever watch Lee Hursts first stand up VHS he tells stories of one's that got cut and believe me it's hilarious!
I used to love this

There is no comparison to British wit and humour.
Had never heard of this until I was reading about the death of Sean Lock (R.I.P) and it was mentioned that he had been part of this.
He was, I can remember him in a few episodes near the shows end series 19 I believe, he was hilarious
Series 8 Episode 6 (with Gary & Rory)
Series 18 Episode 4 (with Tuffers & Wossy)

if you've got anymore keep the uploads coming! :)
I’m shocked to see Clive Anderson not in a suit! Is he doing this show in the style of the producer’s own choosing?
Awesome find!
Between the three of us, we almost have the whole lot now...
George Washingtonathome Just missing episode 4 now...
Nick: What can you say that hasn't already been said about Linford Christie? Well, he's slow and he's got a small penis.
I'm still on the hunt....
+George Washingtonathome have you got series 1 episode 1
Do you have the first episode? The one with Giant Haystacks
Can't find it anywhere.
Would be good to see Lochness again (his name in the 90's in WCW).
Nick Hancock, from quiz show host to mortgage salesman to voicing McDonalds adverts on the radio
Why what's he up to these days?
@The Cultured Thug he's got a football podcast with fellow comedian Chris England called the Sloping Pitch
He’s not the McDonald’s man!
Fuck me, the cringe when Clive said can he feel up Tessa Sanderson 😭😭😭
Sometimes wonder why David Gower bothered to turn up for this show. He didn't seem to say much.
Maybe but he was a good sport when they kept roasting him. I remember once when the question was about the oldest cricket footage ever. It showed the short clip, then showed Gower playing in black-and-white!
"Another horse."
A poor first series but went on to become legendary
This hasn't aged well.
That's only because nothing is funny anymore.
Should be called they won fuck all
This show would not be allowed today in the snowflake age.
I think we demand better comedy now
@@bluemachine85 that's working out well so.
