1. Waqf board can claim any land as their land.
2. The person is not informed that his land is claimed by Waqf.
3. Technically right now your land might be claimed and you might have no idea.
4. This board has claimed Ambani's land where Antilia is built.
5. Once they claim your land, you need to go to them (not court) and prove it’s yours. what a Joke.
6. Did you know? After government if any board is the owner of largest land, then it's Waqf board.
7. In past they have claimed the land of high court. Lol.

A very needed topic that needs to be discussed is about the WAQF board. Most of us do not have a clear understanding on this so it's just a request. And would be glad if it reaches your notice.
What about temple property fund
As a person from Uttarakhand, people have been demanding a land reforms law. There was a significant protest recently. Since the state's inception, no government seems interested in addressing this issue, nor does anyone care for the Uniform Civil Code. It's puzzling why attention is diverted from checking industries that are destroying local ecosystem to focus on less critical matters.

As long as you have money and good connections, these laws are merely transient obstacles. Consider corruption laws, for instance; the prevalence of corruption persists at significant levels from clerks to CEOs and higher officials in government offices.

I don't find the Live in Act to be regressive at all. It's more about monitoring things with authority. I mean, in relationships, what's the issue with registering? It's about being progressive and standing up for what you believe in. Moreover, legalizing relationships through registration could be seen as a forward-thinking approach. Just imagine if marriage had been registered many years ago. It might not have been initially embraced, but now it feels incredibly progressive. Relationships should be viewed through the same lens.
come on really my friend? The question "What is the issue with registering?" is already an absurd reasoning. Consider this, will you register everything and anything that the government asks you to? No right? The point being, whenever the government wants us to tell them something, then as citizens our question should be "why do you want that information?" The state, has no right to all information, they need sufficient cause for that.
Secondly, it is also important to understand, that, there is a problem with this "registering". This is because, if the registrar does not approve of it, then you can't live in. It's not *just* registering, it's asking them for permission. Also, do you not see, how the police can use this law unfairly to harass people in the name of "checking". They probably (in practicality definitely) will take bribes, and not only that, they can justify that by saying "it's their custom so the law doesn't apply". This picking and choosing is also problematic.
Thirdly, marriages are registered, for an entirely separate reasoning. Marriage is also a social & economic contract between two people. Relationships are not the same as marriages!

There should be better legislature about these issues without making laws authoritative.

When there are more pertinent issues those need to be addressed at the earliest, I don't know whether implementing UCC in it's original form or any form is the need of the hour.
It would be amazing if the Islamic law was looked at objectively and not objectified as being regressive. It's probably most progressive and most importantly woman and state centric. Nowhere does it stop women from getting an education or going to work or doing business or operating businesses. Neither does the hijab or abaya restrict any of these everyday tasks. In fact segregation of sexes would probably increase opportunities in educational institutions and jobs by literally doubling the number of seats available or increasing them considerably at best. Gender equality should have been a priority.
Remove maintenance, alimony, compensation, etc from marriage/live-in relationships and see 90% fake cases getting cleared from family courts. Neither male nor female would give anything to each other (keep underage children and parents an exception). If you want to separate, then just separate, no money from husband side. Otherwise just stay together and live that happily. If husband/wife does anything wrong, then investigate and punish/aquit him/her. What's this maintenance and all? If one is guilty, then you can later impose a penalty. This "interim maintenance", "maintenance","alimony" thing is corrupting our society. Sacred marriages are breaking, specially from girls side.
